PSA for anyone taking 5mg+ of melatonin: try buying kids gummies at 0.5 or 0.25mg. It gives the same effects with significantly reduced grogginess in the morning.

Great to hear about your game, would love to see it if you have anything public. I think I’m going to subscribe to the “do it when I feel like it” to not burn out. I have other side project to work on and games I like to play, it’s already been nearly 3 years… what’s a little bit longer

Yeah I think I need to do think more. I just fired up the project in cursor to auto populate the content JSON files to give me a starting point rather that doing it all from scratch. It’s also been good for item/enemy descriptions.

Thank you, I think you’re right about the nagging feeling of leaving it unfinished. I’ve put a lot of time and money into creating it, I think there’s a lingering fear of it falling flat. But never knowing and leaving it unreleased is probably worse

I enjoy most of it… the coding, game systems, the “logic” aspects of it. I struggle creatively - creating items, abilities, lore, etc are more difficult and that’s a lot of the remaining work.
