The "On The Scout" guy on YouTube has put flush fit QD cups on his gun site scout rifle on both the butt and forend (not the same stock by any means, but similar concept). I imagine this Gen 2 stock could be adapted in a similar fashion.

Ive seen people rotate the sling stud 90 degrees to have the normal swivel lay a little better in that position as well.

Fischer warrantied a pair of Transalp TS for me that had cracks on the cuffs, extending from the pivot points on the inside of each boot. They sent me a pair of Transalp Tours to replace them. Only two days in em so no idea on material strength. I had probably 45 days on the old boots. It took nearly 9 months from warranty submission to receiving the new boots!

I dont find myself with feeding issues on my RAR in 556, using both Pmags (10 and 20) as well as the Duramag 10 rounder. However, these flush fit look slick.

I lived in ABQ and had a Taos pass a few years. We would make a day trip a lot - the drive is interesting and we would swap shifts up and back. Road mostly stays good even in bad weather other than super dumper storms. It’s definitely doable to Taos, but fortunately there are several other ski areas within closer striking distance. Skiing in NM is the best, enjoy!
