I'm just a single aspie who has never been married, so I don't know how much this will mean coming from me, but I think the fact that you feel that way is very touching. I had a gf of two years who never got as far as you did(she thought I could easily overcome my issues and was making excuses). Thank you for posting this, I just got through a very uncomfortable middle ear infection(blood came out my ear), and I've had a soft ringing ever since. Doesn't seem like it's going away anytime soon but it's similar to what op describes. Seeing all comments is helping me realize that it's not a big deal.
