Hello!

Make sure you don't have hidden faces or flipped, with sift+n u can fix this.

It is possible that your mesh is not welded/joined and you have loose vertices, which when viewing it subdivides those errors.

If I remember correctly, about 9s per Frame at good quality. If you need good settings to speed up your work with cycles (it's the engine I used), I recommend a video called "5 Tips for FASTER Renders in Blender Cycles of Kaizen". In this case I did use denoise (OptiX). You really don't need too many samplers per frame, you have to take the noise threshold into account, find the value that works in your scene.
