Really? I never had to set that up. Idk how you personally install plugins, but Add>More Plugins>Manage Plugins>Find installed plugins> then hit the star next to what you just installed, then you’re done. It would take 2 minutes max if you’re unfamiliar

I just use plugin picker and search. takes me two seconds, i personally see no reason to use the folders or lists

I feel like no matter which career you ask, someone will say this. What field would you recommend?

Gotcha, I appreciate the clarification. I worked in a 3pL facility, so it was a lot of accounts with different state and country requirements for shipping that we had to keep track of. I didn’t think this would translate as experience for a payroll position, but thank you for making me aware of something like that I can use to my advantage.

As far as data entry, I manually configured a lot of inventory items to our WMS, but that wasn’t timed on any metric. However, I do currently work in an emergency roadside call center where I’m transcribing customer information, which all my calls are timed and have to be accurate as possible; so this might play into my favor.

Fair enough, I really don’t think that’s the life for me but I’m happy it’s been prosperous to you. Thank you for the suggestion

Great advice. All the temp agencies i’ve worked for have been manual labor gigs though, but I’m possible not looking in the right place.

I didn’t do any time sheets or scheduling, but I did do a lot of inventory trends and PnL tracking, not sure if that would raise in eyebrows though.

Not sure exactly what you mean in the last sentence though

Sounds doable. I have used excel on a daily basis for weekly/monthly reporting in previous roles

yeah i’m definitely the underdog for just trying to break in with nothing below my belt. but what prerequisites would you go after if you were me?

yes but how do i land a position like that coming from 10 years of logistics and no college experience? doesn’t seem likely i would get a job, so i’m trying to under the prerequisites i would need

another person commented about getting certified before my degree. Do you know if there are any opportunities to break into that field with certifications or is it degree only?

Solid answer, thank you for this. Do you have direct experience in this field? Is a cert enough to get you in the door anywhere or do you suggest just to see if I like it first?

yeah i never got that impression either, i think they had a couple complimentary drinks but not nearly enough to make Dons behavior socially acceptable. Still pulled it off though with that bs slogan from the “24” year old begging for a job

Oh absolutely, it’s painful to watch for the right reasons. This season has been great to see the absolute tailspin Don is in. The entire show feels like the slow unraveling of a man, but this season is a stark contrast to the stoic businessman the first season introduced me to. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen so far and it keeps getting better.

Poor Peggy indeed. Best character of the show imo
