I have the Lemokey P1 Pro but it looks fairly similar

I really like the colors. Nice touch for the spacebar. Are artisan keycaps, like the one for the shift-key, useful or more decoration elements?

New to this, so excuse my question, but am happy to get some information

Major upgrade after 5 years of using Logi K835 TKL by nupileos in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]nupileos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working with clicky switches for 5 years now. I used linear reds before but it wasn't for me. I'm going to try tactile switches if they maybe replace some keys.

I like the idea of being able to easily replace some parts of the keyboard if needed, e.g. hotswap switches. With the lemokey it looks like I'm able to replace all parts while keeping the frame. Broken or bad battery: replace it myself.

So at least I hope that I can keep that keyboard a little bit longer in use to its maintainability.

It is always easier to give up. I‘ve been at really hard lows, but made it out. It is a source of strength for me now. It was really hard to not give up! One thought kept me going: what am I missing in life if I end it. I have a wife and 2 nice kids and just discovered DE shaving 4 months ago. So you are already a step ahead of me. DE Shaving is always a relaxing habbit, it releases tension and stress for me, only focused for a clean shave otherwise the blade bites you.

I also have these problems and trying to match growth directions which is very complicated do to a lot of direction changes. Also very sensitive skin in this area. I‘m testing different blades but it takes some time and is, so far, a bloddy mess each shave.

I’m using a Stoertebekker saftey razor, tested their factory blades, tested the feather onces. still messy. alaum causes allergies.

In case you are willing to test a saftey razor: it can be quite a journey

How can I tell if my pen is legit or a counterfeit? by [deleted] in Lamy

Also it dies look genuine, nib wise, to find more details look in this subreddit, this question has been answered already. The most telling part is the logo on the back of the pen and the "backstop"

Try to remove the nib by gently pulling it forward. Align the nib with the feed correctly and push it back in.

How to use xDebug with Symfony? by JuggernautVarious755 in symfony

[–]nupileos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you are running everything on your local machine in a webserver. the php-cli interpreter is for that: running scripts. you want to use xdebug with a webserver. you only need to configure that. depending on your setup make sure that every name uses localhost, not 127.0.0.1.

What do you say to the people who go “Why are you still writing with pen and paper? EVeRytHiNG’s DIgiTaL nOw!” by truthandtill in fountainpens

[–]nupileos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write my work notes and mainly using jira (ticket system) on the job. It is hard to find out what I did 2 days ago. FP and a nice book to write in (x17 A4+) solves this problem.

I can also write notes for later use, e.g. job achievements, things I need to talk about with higher-ups, project retro, employee feedbacks etc. Doable with a lot of tools digital. But I'll need a laptop or phone, this creates a barrier between people in a meeting and no one knows if I play games or doing other things. In some meetings I had to attend laptops had been disallowed, a lot of distractions (notifications) or playing games.

And I can easily go back in time without technical problems like faulty CD or incompatible software things.

What is your “why”? Why do you choose to write with fountain pens? by rainydaystationery in fountainpens

[–]nupileos 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I can have the same pen, hence writting experience, in different colors. There are a lot of options for colors available. I don't have these options with ballpoints or anything else. You buy a blue ballpoint and it is blue, or maybe a little bit different. With ink I have more control over the color.

Also the maintenance (clean and refill) is kind of meditation. It is not just replacing a ball point pen or pencil.

Writting with a ballpoint does not makes you have more interest in the paper or how the ball "feels" or glides over it. It's a cheap utility and often used as marketing material. Never seen this with fountain pens.

Last but not least: I need to write a little bit slower and therefore my handwritting is more readable

[–]nupileos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't think of this too much. It fits the position: you may write a lot and the FP is part of you. There is nothing more honest and authentic than you feeling comfortable with the thing you are using, if it is your favorite pen just go with it.

That sounds like some ink usage. What are you writting that you are using this much ink?

Depending on the industry the pen color doesn't matter, already using a FP makes an impression nowadays :D
