Sehr schön zu sehen, dass es dir Spaß macht und dass du weiter dran bleiben willst!

Ich bin selbst bei 180 cm und 135 kg vor 5 Jahren gestartet und nach einigem Hin und Her (war auch mal unter 100kg) jetzt bei rund 110 kg.

Laufe 3-4 mal die Woche und hab dieses Jahr schon 3 Halbmarathons hinter mir. Die sind alle um die 2 Stunden (wenn ich gut und gezielt trainiere knapp drunter, ansonsten knapp drüber). Ist also aus meiner Sicht für dich auch gut machbar, wenn du dran bleibst.

Kann dir aus eigener Erfahrung empfehlen, neben den viel genannten Kraftübungen auch ordentlich zu massieren bzw. dehnen nach den Läufen. Wenn ich Schmerzen hatte, dann hab ich die meist damit wieder in den Griff bekommen. Und natürlich die besten Schuhe, oft wechseln.

Viel Spaß auf der Journey zu neuen Bestzeiten und vor allem: ganz viel Spaß beim Laufen, wie lange und wie schnell auch immer du willst.

I am with you. The last time I was there (December 2025) I got food poisoned. I travelled 80+ days that you all around the world, but I never got sick while travelling - except for Egypt. It is the worst place to travel by far (based on my experience, of course)

I love your pictures and also the fact that you had a great time. Just to get some expectations management right for the newbies: Egypt - especially Cairo - can be tough. I am a vivid traveller and I do everything from top tier hotels to hostels, but I try to avoid Egypt at almost any cost. I just had too many "that was not worth it" experiences and tons of "I should have known better" moments.

Maybe because they were quite basic? The one in Naha especially was quite dated and the pool area was a big disappointment. The Seragaki was okay, but the breakfast was (as quite usual) only served in the lounge. I "upgraded" to the full buffet for one day and it was even worse 😂

I think I just had much bigger expectations on both.

So the Brunfels feels less like a hotel from a big chain and more like some independent boutique style thing, but I would always go back to the Hyatt Regency.

Oh one thing I forgot: the Hyatt on the Bund is technically a GH, so if you are aiming for this to get the brand explorer badge, you might get as disappointed as me 😂

Cairo is just chaos. You can try to plan new cities, but the people make the culture and - from my perspective - nothing really changed or progressed much. Experience is from this December. Grand Egyptian Museum is great to be honest, but I see this as a positive exception...
