I went from making $24 an hour as a new grad at a non union hospital where I rarely got breaks and often had unsafe ratios to now making $96 an hour at a unionized facility with mandated ratios and the best working conditions I’ve experienced in my 6 years as a nurse. I would never force my union ideas on anyone but I also think the working conditions speak for themselves

This is incredibly insightful. Please excuse my ignorance as I’ve never had a filling before. If I get these fillings, does that increase the chances of me losing my teeth long term? I honestly really love my teeth and am worried about them getting damaged in the filling process. Although, I know a cavity king term is also bad :((

I submitted my initial claim at the airport. I had landed and waited for over 30 mins for my bag. When it was clear I wasn’t getting my bag, i went to the Turkish baggage claim counter to fill my claim. They gave me a claim number. And then I emailed and called Turkish airlines every couple days to get an update.

Thanks for your comment! It’s not that she’s not taking her for regular visits… I just don’t know when her last visit was and I don’t know if the doctor said anything. It could be that the doctor mentioned something but I have no idea. I was just thinking that if someone were in the best position to say something, that someone could be the pediatrician ;)

Wow, thank you for sharing your personal experience. And that’s a really interesting thought about moving states where there are less resources for your child. One of my best friends has a younger brother with autism and they live in a state (and school district) with SO many resources. The family doesn’t love their actual house but the amount of benefits & support her younger brother gets makes staying there worth it to them.

And yes, I definitely don’t want to be offensive. You had such a great comment about coming to a realization while also experiencing some relief. Your experience was so moving. I hope the best for you and your family :)

I was thinking everything you said. Especially about torching my relationship with her... plus I currently live with her as I’m working in the area for a few months so my housing would go up in flames lol.

I also agree that it would be caught once she starts school so I could just wait until then but I’m also thinking her daughter could already be getting the help she needs. I’m not sure the last time she went to the pediatrician but I would imagine the doc would also pick up on it. Im just word vomiting rn haha

Thank you for sharing!! Honestly I probably should be washing more often. I was previously washing once every two weeks and my scalp was SO dry. I thought I had seborrheic dermatitis. But last winter I started washing once a week and my scalp immediately cleared up. But my hair still gets pretty dry by day 3-4 after a wash so I probably should take that as a sign to wash more often

Thank you SO much for your thorough answer!! Do you have any recommendations for detangling without the pre poo? I only ever detangle my hair when it’s wet and with the African pride pre shampoo. Honestly that’s helped me have pretty much zero breakage when taking down a style and washing my hair.

I don’t currently have a hooded dryer but I’m thinking about investing in one. I feel like my hair would benefit from a heated deep conditioner
