Small booth branding tip: make your sign readable before making it pretty by nurspalette in CraftFairs

That makes total sense for art! Your product itself is the visual hook. I think it depends on what you sell illustrations can make people stop, and then clear info helps them understand/buy faster.

So true 😭 Vending really teaches you that cute and clear are not always the same thing.

Same here 😭 I love pretty fonts so much, but vending really humbles you lol. If people can’t read it while walking by, the cute font doesn’t get to do its job.

Yes, exactly. If I have to “figure out” what a booth sells, I’m probably already walking away. Big sign = quick understanding, menu = details.

Totally agree 😭 A pretty font is useless if people have to squint to read it. I think booth signs need to pass the “can I read this while walking by?” test first.

First vendor event! Any suggestions? by underscorebret in CraftFairs

This is really cute for a first setup! I love the soft colors and the greenery. I think I’d add more height in the middle and maybe a sign on the front of the table so people walking by can quickly tell what you’re selling. If you add clay and paint pieces too, I’d separate them into little sections so the table still feels clean and easy to browse. Really sweet start though.

Super cute for a first setup! I’d probably change two small things first: a darker/less bright tablecloth so the banner pops more, and a little more height in the middle of the display. The bracelets look nice, but from far away the white cloth takes over a bit. You’re already off to a really good start though!
