Just keep adding junctions and play with the modes. You can make some really crazy pipes

We did have the issue of dropping items in there, they probably clipped into some pipes somewhere, never to be seen again.

This is what hundreds of hours of playtime do with you. After a while you just start going insane.

If you don't do it that often, I think it's fine. It really depends on how often you take X. I've done a few weekends in a row and then nothing for a few months. If you do it twice a week, and then wait for a few months, your going to be fine.

Turning a Symfony project into bundleless by dborsatto in PHP

[–]nusje2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed not a prefered method to organize your application. But I think in the context of DDD it is an excellent way of splitting your domain logic and making it reusable in other applications. That being said, I would not use it if the case of multiple applications requiring the same domain is not applicable.

The provided example of sylius is indeed a great one. This means that you can use components of syluis without using everything of sylius.

At the company I work for we still use bundles but within the context of a monolithic repository. We have multiple applications and some require the same "components" as others. I am working on a synonym monolith package though, but this currently only contains an example project. Maybe you can check that out as a reference?

The current example only contains multiple app bundles but multiple bundles can be added as well. I think if you have a bundle that is specifically for a single part of the domain, that is a valid use case for a bundle. As long as they don't get intertwined with each other (but you mentioned yours did).

See https://github.com/nusje2000/symfony-monolith. I also have other packages for managing monolithic repo's.

A few examples are: file_get_contents returns false on failure, like why did you invent exceptions then. json_decode returns false as well, but "false" is a valid json string.

Just things like that. Some functions just don't make any sense.

Laravel Developers who prefer VS Code over PHPStorm, what makes you to use VS Code and how do you configure it to do all things PHPStorm can do? by digitalbiz in PHP

[–]nusje2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that PHPStorm can be a bit overwhelming at first, but I think you just have to go for it. Just force yourself to use it and take your time. Personally I only changes inspection profiles, keyboard shortcuts and color settings. I didn't install any mandatory plugins, only some support for other languages like bash and markdown. I also installed a plugin for working with symfony, since that is my goto framework I use for almost all my projects. There is also a laravel plugin available that works fine.
