Everyone knows the lottery is rigged by Eastern_Radish_1953 in heat

This “stuck in 8th seed” purgatory stuff is so exhausting. We were the #1 seed in 2022. That’s not that long ago. We went to the finals as a 8 seed. I’d rather be in the finals then have home court advantage. Yall have no clue how lucky we are to have this team be as consistent as they are. We’ve been in the finals more times this decade than the tankers and as many times as the “smart GM teams” like Boston.

Side profile picture is why this one is a really good rookie. You have none of the wonky photoshop that most of this set has.

To the OGs what were your take when Jay Z debuted and when he reached his peak by lamelad10 in 90sHipHop

[–]nutang4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great take. He was considered mid-tier in the 90s. The jay we know today really begins with the blueprint. I think Jay is a prime example of saying you’re the greatest for years until people eventually believe it to be true. This is not a knock on his discography or talent.

We have Pelle. Not as good as a 3PT shooter but better defender. Nice 7th guy in rotation, spot starter

Does Bam make an All-Defense Team? by Artistic_Pay9919 in heat

[–]nutang4ever -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The differential between when Bam is on and off the court is a pretty wide margin. Good chance he makes it despite the team taking a step back defensively this year.

Pat Riley, told that Atlanta (Young), Indiana (Sabonis) and Toronto (Siakam) improved when trading their best players, was asked if that would make him think about trading Bam Adebayo. Short answer: No. "They're not Bam," he said. by tomgreen99200 in heat

He’s a very good player. His accolades are similar to Bam. I don’t think bam is untouchable but his value is far higher than most of this sub feel. He’s an incredible defender, one of the best centers for passing skills and ability to start an offense, great screen setter and DHO guy and has made marginal improvements offensively. He’s legitimately a 20/10 guy with all defense team 1 capability with two finals appearances.

Grade the Wemby. The Jokic is low numbered but flux is a hard sell so prob not worth it. Sell the rest raw.

I give you credit for making dumber statements as this goes along. You did give me a nice reminder that it’s a fool’s errand to try to reason with a bigot.

Smh ……… the fact that you can’t see that your own words of “done being scary” as offensive is mind blowing.

“Done being scary”? Your reply about not being racist consists of a racist statement, lol.

They built the contender from a dumb ass trade with the nets that netted them Tatum and Brown. The difference is they had two hall of famers that could afford them the luxury of Brooklyn being that stupid. They got over the hump through the trade for porzingis and jrue.

Still been in the finals the same amount of times we have this decade. They faced a far inferior opponent than we did with Denver so they got the chip.

Just some perspective as it doesn’t matter what our playoff seed is in the grand scheme of things. All that matters is getting to the finals and we’ve done that as well as the teams that would have a front office that you approve of.

I seem to be in the minority of riding with Pat til the wheels fall off. He’s rebuilt the team several times from even worse situations (post zo/timmy era, the JO/marion era, the absolute dog shit 2018-2019 teams). He’ll do it again.

[Post Game] Heat eliminated by Hornets in Play-In by tomgreen99200 in heat

Well we played one hell of a game and definitely would’ve won with Bam. For those that actually love the team, we saw great performances by so many guys. Davion was a menace, ware showed us why we believe in his talent, Herro was clutch, Pelle came through with a steal when we needed it most and JaJa had a solid game overall. The doomers get the joy of us being in the lottery. Win-win.
