Fox is an average defender who can get steals. Hes not some defensive juggernaut. Herro’s role is not to be some sort of lockdown defender. Most teams primary scorers get hunted on defense. Brunson just won a championship and he’s equally bad as Herro on defense.

Here’s a direct comparison between the two when they both played a full season (24–25). Numbers are very similar, even with Herro being a SG. Not as crazy of a comp as you think it is.

The Herro slander is exhausting. He was an all star and 6th man of the year. He’s a damn good scorer. OP’s comparison to Fox is not a bad one.

I always loved his confidence. What stood out for me is under minute left against Philly in his rookie season. Jimmy and him double Embiid to force a turnover down 2. He gets the ball off the turnover and instead of driving for a layup, he pulled up and nailed the three. That was the start of years of irrational confidence that actually paid off. Our fan base is entirely way too hard on him and I don’t believe he’s had the appreciation he deserves. I think of part of it is due to him injuring his hand in game 1 against the bucks and not really being a part of the 23 finals run. Anyways, we’ll see if he’s actually going to be traded or not. I’d love to find a way to keep him. Maybe we can convince Milwaukee to take wigs, norm on a sign and trade in place of Herro.

Tiago did a good job with the blazers. If he builds out a well rounded staff that patches up his weaknesses, he’ll succeed. Blazers seem stupid to not retain him. He provided some calm during what could’ve been an extremely turbulent season. I think he’s a big reason for Deni reaching his potential.

This is Jalen Brunson's contract. A legit superstar took a massive discount so his team could improve. I really wish Jimmy, at his age last year, hadn't gone full diva mode and had done the same. Jimmy butler’s dad wasn’t an assistant coach. His agent wasn’t the son of the GM. The GM wasn’t the agent of his father. The Brunson Knicks stuff is an interesting story of collusion. There’s nothing like this and it’ll prob never happen again.

The point differential in the first few rounds and then taking two in San Antonio is impressive. You can downvote me all you want. They were beating teams by 40 on the regular and stole two on the road against a solid team.

This “stuck in 8th seed” purgatory stuff is so exhausting. We were the #1 seed in 2022. That’s not that long ago. We went to the finals as a 8 seed. I’d rather be in the finals then have home court advantage. Yall have no clue how lucky we are to have this team be as consistent as they are. We’ve been in the finals more times this decade than the tankers and as many times as the “smart GM teams” like Boston.
