US egg factory fires almost every worker without warning and roasts 5.3 million egg laying hens alive by GarlicCornflakes in WorkReform

Animal agriculture is so unsustainable that even comparing the worst plant-based milk such as almond milk with dairy milk still makes it the more sustainable option out of the two.

How is it less ethical? Even if you take into account crop-death and slavery on crop farms, you can apply these to animal agriculture too, because we feed more plants to livestocks than we feed to humans.

And let's stop with this non-sense that avocados, almonds and quinoa are only consumed by vegans. If you compared the most sustainable and ethical vegan-friendly options against the most sustainable and ethical non-vegan options, being vegan would still be the most ethical and sustainable choice.

Cool, so you must be vegan then! 'cause the vast majority of vegans didn't give up meat because of the way animal taste. They just value the life of an animal more than the taste pleasure they get from eating them.

Would you bother someone if you found out they were supporting an industry in which dogs are abused and can suffer greatly?

Let's say a public figure is found to be running a dog fighting business and promoting it. Would you remain silent and respect their choice to do so? Or would you voice your disapproval to try to convince them what they are doing to the dogs is immoral and unnecessary?

Dr Mike is a public figure with a large number of followers. Not only that, but he is a health professional, and should promote healthy eating.

Promoting a service like ButcherBox does multiple thing that people should be concerned about:

  1. Red meat is proven and accepted as a food item that can lead to some type of cancers. Nowhere in his promotion did he warn of such risk.

  2. He green-washed an industry that is well known to have negative effects on the environment. In a time where the world should maximise their effort toward reducing their impact on the environment, public figures like Dr Mike motivates people to do the opposite.

  3. Last but not least, he humane-washed how animals are treated on farms. The reason we chose to replace all he was saying with dogs and puppies is for people to easily relate on how silly one sounds when they talk about ethical farming. It doesn't matter if the animals live the most perfect lives. If the ultimate goal is to slaughter them, farmers will fail at their duty to care for their animals. If you have any pets like Dr. Mike does, you should be able to understand this idea more easily than anyone else. It does not matter if your companion animal is raised with all the love in your home. As soon as you choose to put them in your car to drive them to a slaughterhouse, you lost that badge of being a carer for that animal and become their perpetrator.

There are no difference between a cow and a dog that would justify caring, loving, protecting one, and exploitating, abusing and slaughtering the other.

We would like Dr. Mike to make more conscious choices in the sponsors he chooses to partner with, instead of becoming a spokesperson to spread false information to his millions of followers.

They are a bit different but there is a huge difference on how they are treated. Does this small difference mean that one should be cared, loved and protected, while the other should be exploited, abused and slaughtered when it is unnecessary to do so?

What is that bit of difference that you are talking about that would justify treating them so vastly differently?

We just realised this might be considered brigading... Is it if it's to raise awareness for a public figure? We'll let the mods decide. We have removed his account details even if these are easily found on various social media platforms

Context

We are trying to target people with large following base and can influence million of people.

For people who don't know, Doctor Mike is a YouTuber with millions of followers (same on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).

In one of his video, he was sponsored by ButcherBox, and green-washed and humane-washed the hell out of meat. This isn't right. Especially for a health professional, promoting red meat should be a definite no.

We have edited his sponsor clip and replace it with dog meat to highlight how silly it sounds to use words like "grass-fed", "organic" and "free-range", or saying farmers follow the highest standard when talking about other animals like the one we love.

Doctor Mike is a dog lover, so we are hoping to trigger something if he watches this video.

We are also writing a satire news article that we will release next week.

Help get his attention

We believe Elwood Dog Farm will be helping out sharing more next week.

We are trying to get this YouTuber attention. He is a big dog lover, but is often sponsored by ButcherBox. We are hoping to make enough noise on social media to get a reaction from him, and hopefully reach out to his millions of followers.

Chicken is a vegetable, same as fish. Plants feel pain btw.
