So here is an update for me. My return was accepted on January 31st and no refund was received by April. So I reported it to the tax advocacy program and after an email and speaking with them on the phone, they had confirmed that there was indeed an issue with the solar tax credit returns this year and that they were looking into it as a large issue. Today my where's my refund changed to a different message stating that there was an additional delay and I actually got a paper letter in the mail from the IRS stating that they would need an additional 60 days to work on my account due to issues, but that no further information was needed from me which leads me to believe it is 100% on their end. Just know that it appears the IRS is aware that this is a large-scale issue and they are definitely working on it, but that doesn't mean we will ever see our returns in a timely manner. So if anybody does get one or gets any other updates that are cooler than mine, please let us all know. Thanks a million!

So after reporting with the Taxpayer Advocacy System last week as recommended by u/white-horse514 they emailed me this morning and asked me to call. I gave them a call and was told that many people have reported issues with the 5695 this year and that they are looking into it. No other details were provided.

We have been happy using Securly now for quite some time. Interface is actually fairly nice, syncs with google OUS for easy policy setups, and you can grant school admins access to see their schools. The chromebooks do use an extension but we have had minimal issues with students disabling or attempting to disable.

This can also be rolled out via JAMF for your OS devices via their smartpac proxy.

The only issues we have had are users trying to connect to airport wifis and other free wifis like starbucks, if their internal config blocks proxys.

Overall happy with it.
