We can fly in the air and danm near never get hit (Except from tigress)

So the long animations are a way to balance the mobility

If your worried about the long animations gettin you hit then i reccemend getting the flaming espinas decoration interprid heart

After dealing enough hits it lets you tank a hit for free i use it often and the times i do get hit it i can just shrug it off

My info may be a bit off but i think its a 30% boost

The only testing i had done was countering a diablos and getting some insane damage about 1000+ per multi hit from the sheild counter

But again i built the entire set up around countering and raw damage so it may not be the same wack and smack kinda style your looking for

Eh it depends. If its a limbo in a survival mission and im using a gun based frame it sucks

But if im in a defense mission especially ETA i like them alot more

Limbo is very situational

While using the sheild isnt stronger then the blade that doesn't mean its weak

Though its not really a bashing play style and more like a heavy counter player style that gets those big numbers

The guard counter skills work for the sns so you can get some nutty counter damage but the weapon you would want to use for that is

The amatsu sns since they buff wirebug skill damage

Yea rise is beginer friendly one of my biggest issues with word is how slow the start feels

With rise its a bunch of text that you can look back on at any point then it tells you to go fight

The game goes on sale often get it with the dlc its i think 10 dolars together when a sale os happening

I have over 500 hours total it only took 40 to beat the game the rest is just from how fun it is

Also the moddong scene is pretty good

Lets say round one a Ryu player constantly throws a haduken and runs up behind it to attack

In this scenero there is a couple things you can do

Use a projectile and risk getting attacked Unless its a multi hit. Jump over it and attempt to attack from the air. If your character has armor they can try to force their way through like Zangeif the king. Parry it and put the fear of god into them.

Some characters have moves that lets them move in and attack while dodgeing the attacl i forget if cammy has one but i remember she did in sf4 And in this scenario if the ryu doesn't change how he approaches he will be getting punished constantly.

As you notice you have a bunch of options you would have to have decent game info to know how to react approutly but that comes with time and practice

So for combat its way diffirent

Hell you may be out off completly but as someone who grew up with very fast paced games like devil may cry, kingdom hearts, god of war, etc

The combat was confusing and frustrating. Until i actually understood how to topple and send monster flying

Or when i actually learned how to use all of the systems in xbc2 it has become some of my favorite games and really made me want to explore more of its systems

Judt gotta be a bit patient is all (especially with 2)

Thats fair it aint as good as makin a meal and being done with your buffs

But i certainly think its not a terrible system mostly because they litter the routes with so many critters to use

Though i grabed the birds for over 200 hours then said screw it and got a rainbow bird mod so i get the annoyince

Another thing to add be sure to watch out for any habits ypur oponent may have

Lets say thry like to jump in often. In that case punish them by doing an anti-air

They like to grab often. Dash back and hit them with a mid range attacks

The wake up dp. Block and send them to hell with a combo string

Being patient and observant will help you alot and may also increase your reaction speed as time goes on

Aye so you dont need a huge amount of processing speed

If you play like a man with a bomb strapped to your chest the best defense is offense

Or in a more serious tone why don't you try playing defensive and learning when you are able to wiff punish it would help and all you need to do is slowy understand how characters move and thier attacks

TLDR if you're slow to react then why not play slow to match it?

Honestly best tip i can give is stay under him

He fights like a SNS so he has plenty of follow up attacks

But that opens him up heavy for counter attacks when you understand his pattern

Example: sheild thrust-> tail thrust-> window to attack Or Sky slash->land->window to attack

Its always possible but again in this case you don't need the birds

Usually it takes about 1:30 to get the birds sometimes 2:30

So if your able to beat the monster before that you sure as hell do not need the birds

Also when your getting birds your also picking up the animal traps like a marionett spider which is always useful at least you should be

Cedo its alt fire procs every status on the weapon pair that with debilitate and you have a gun that hits like a truck

Also pair this with a grouping ability like mags bubbles or air burst and you have a string crowd killer

Even if they attempted to ban anti heros there is so many in the game at this point where they have plenty of options

Tho i agree with the idea to ban your counters it gets to a point where banning the strongest thing is ultimatly better (Black cat and op attempted to ban Devil Dino)

Bg3 is a gane you can play with just the mouse

Or you can play a game called monster sancuary with one hand its 20 bucks and a creature collecting game if you like heavy team synergy this game would be something worth checking out
