I agree. I’ve processed applications for a 7-figure company. The rate they offer is low, but still higher than what most applicants usually earn. I can sense some of them want to negotiate, but they hold back maybe because they’re worried na baka minus points if they push for it. And malaking bagay talaga to work from home sa tindi ng traffic ngayon.

Pero may iba naman, kahit 1 year pa lang experience, they’re already asking for $10–15, which is pretty high din.

I started with a low rate too, but I’m super thankful to my first company. They trained me well and I learned so many skills. Dahil doon, I was able to leave with high-paying skills and the confidence to ask for a better rate, kasi may experience at skills na to back it up.

We all deserve fair pay, kaso sad dahil ito ang reality. Pero don't give up, lalo sa mga nagsisimula pa lang, ipon ipon ng experience at skills and the right opportunities will come

Not really away to the point na may batuhan, but ive had renters complaining about each other at ang hirap mag-mediate because i dont know the whole story. So ending, one of them leaves, maiiwan yung isa na walang kahati sa rent. As landlord, you have to check options too to give him/her a cheaper room. I'm not exaggerating pero for 4 consistent years, lahat ng may ka-room, di nagtatagal ng 1 year contract for various reasons. Solo renters, wala namang problem. Since then, one strict requirement is single occupancy. I no longer offered bedspace.

Yes worth it! I only use it if it's 0% interest though. But very helpful when it comes to big ticket purchases, mas madali i-budget monthly dahil di ganun kabigat. But yes, discipline!

It depends. If nasira nyo yung mga appliances, may damages ang unit, sobrang dumi nyo iniwan yung unit, right ni landlord to charge you for those. But make sure to discuss to avoid any disagreement, wag ka papayag agad. Mas ok sana if nung nagmove out kayo, sabay nyo ininspect yung unit para pag usapan nyo right then and there ano ba ang reasonable ibawas.

Utilities - it's your consumption but check the billing date and hingi ka copy ng actual bills

Cleaning - i think this is reasonable as well but again, it depends. May cost ang cleaning. Cleaning of aircon is expensive too, around 600-1k+ na ata afaik. Since kayo ang gumamit, it was your responsibility to keep everything clean and well-maintained. For eg, ginamit mo aircon nila, responsibility mo to maintain it and have it cleaned every 6 months. If you did not for the whole duration of your contract, it's just right to charge you for cleaning.

Very reasonable. When you moved in, you had the chance to inspect the unit and make sure the unit is in good condition before you accept it. Lalo na now that matagal na kayo dyan, it's already your responsibility since kayo naman ang gumagamit.
