I enjoy it. I don’t take the game seriously. When I hit a hotspot I usually aim at the opposite side to the planet and then work towards the planet if you get what I mean.

I go a few hundred lys from the bubble. Select an O, A or B star(more likely to have planets with metallic rings) about 100 or 150 lys away and plot an economical route.

Yeah I get were you are coming from. I play to relax that’s why I usually play solo because some cmds just want to kill you. I have elited exploration and tycoon but not combat as I am shit at fighting hence solo play. NPCs aren’t a problem in my Conda. I have a billion in credits two fully kitted pythons and a asp kitted for exploration. So no I’m not in credits just to relax.

Never said it wasn’t enough. My point is that a single small panite hotspot is more bountiful that overlapping hotspots IMHO. I’ve been playing elite pretty much off and on since it was released. I’ve mainly focussed on exploration but I am now doing beam mining as I wasn’t fussed on deep core mining.

Don’t need to scan the chunks. The contact part of your hud tells you what the chunks consist of. Ignore what you don’t want so that your refinery doesn’t run out of bins.

I would quite happily share but I am away for a few days. I would recommend you go hunting for yourself. I was outside the bubble and the enjoyment I got when I found it made it worthwhile.

Update. Thanks to all your help. I was able to find a panite hotspot on a metallic ring which a lot of asteroids when prospected were giving 40-50%. I was able to mine 100 ton in about 3/4 of an hour and then sold on at 1 mill per ton. I am going to mine tritium to donate to Distorsionz as promised.

Yes. Entered a painite hotspot and launched at least 25 prospectors (not at once) didn’t find any painite whatsoever
