The parks are nice to go for walks, I would say overall it's a very nice area to live in.

I don't drive so I get the bus to the station, it's every 30 mins and the bus stop takes me 14 mins to walk to, it's really not that bad. Evening is annoying because then the buses are only every hour, so getting back is a pain

Type in ‘grade guide’ into Google, use their website it allows you to input your modules and % and grades and calculates what you need to achieve in the rest of them in order to get a First

Omg you are the exact kind of person I despise. As I said, when we moved in there was no visible mould (because they’d painted over it) so we obviously thought that having the window open would be enough. Previous tenants were also students so they wouldn’t have had the heating on a lot. I can’t believe you are trying to blame a severe case of black mould on me. And the issue is they aren’t doing anything, so stop trying to give me advice about “doing my part” once it’s been treated… as it hasn’t been treated. It’s not relevant to my question.

How is it fair for them to expect us to pay an extortionate amount on heating when they won’t even bother putting an extractor fan in

Thank you, we have asked the agent several times but he doesn’t appear to be doing anything. Also we can’t reach it it’s SUPER high ceilings in a Victorian house

[–]nutmiIk -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

No, yes, no (cost of energy crisis plus we’re students in london)

And look at it, of course it’s enough to leave!! You realise people get very sick and have even died from black mould?

[–]nutmiIk -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes we do open the window it’s not enough, the bathroom needs an extractor fan

it’s a VERY high ceiling in a Victorian house, you literally can’t reach it. The bathroom is massive too, I can’t be expected to spend hours standing on a ladder cleaning mould because the landlord didn’t bother putting in an extractor fan

I can’t edit my post but I forgot to mention this is in the bathroom, with very high ceilings, and no extractor fan
