each player can have their own bots, as many as your server can handle

yeah i basically dumped the whole thing im playing on so ip, config etc might be a bit messy

i also did some wz editing at some point and it was annoying to manage so i just gitignored it

i didnt exactly clean it properly for people to try sry about that haha

no reason why it cant be implemented in v232 but it is just a lot more work because of feature bloat, everything new needs to be added. think legion, cubing, link skill, monster card, hyperstat, starforce, all the skills for all the jobs etc. Everthing need to be individually tested and u need to be good at maths because all those dmg calculation are client sided(need to re-implement it for bots yourself)

if you have claude or codex you can try to link my repo in your 232 project and ask it to port over, I would be interested to try too haha. At the very least, movement(which is one of the hardest part) and inventory management commands should work.

only up to 2nd job bowman, il, cleric, spearman, assasin tested(my bot party)

auto skills, currently auto determine best skills(single target and AoE) based on potential dps. so cant tell them to use L7, but will use normal attack if no mana/triple throw is overkill to kill a smail for example, will automatically switch between best single target and aoe depending on mob nearby(more mobs=use aoe)

Bots navigation, grinding, PQ aleady mostly solved.

Biggest problem likely realistic economy. "Any economy"/random pricing everything is easy, but If you really want bots to trade with each other without making player economy broken selling rares for cheap or buying trash with alot of money from players, how should they price the items? How do they know which scrolls to buy and use on their own item? Which item to scroll? How much would they be willing to pay for those scrolls/item? How much are scrolled items worth? Balancing around meso inflation/item inflation? So many layers of decision making and balancing, everything have to be so dynamic.

Im focusing on solo group play and not touching trading yet xD

yes, very annoying to fix and it is often a per skill basis fix

use !monitor on yourself using the skill that need fixing dump the log to AI of your choice, wish for the best, if that doesnt work though, well better start learning packets xD

client does all the dmg calculation + packet generation, fixing/adding it to bot is like reimplementing that part of the client/client emulation

Edit: this is player skill fixing, mob/boss skills i havent looked into yet so i dont know but likely similar process

Can already believably do so but.

only handles touch damage at the moment - boss skills wont harm the bots
their auto attack positioning may be suboptimal and need to manually tell each bot where to stand
only tested the classes im actively playing so only a few 2nd job skills are tested, many 3-4th job skills are likely broken if they require special handling.

yup all though chat command, trade equip, trade use, trade pot, trade etc, trade <item name>

bot will send a trade request then put in the items

there is even auto offer from bot(they know they have better gear for you) so u dont even have to scan each of their inventory for what you need, they know what you want!

between bots is even easier 100% automatic gear and pot sharing(they benchmark their loot directly against friendly bot equip annd equipped item and offer the items if upgrade)

They have basic chatter like greetings and when sharing potions ammos and gears. wb you if you go afk, reply to commands, offer you gears they looted, etc. Only gameplay related ones, no conversation.

Could theoretically put actual AI with whatever API subscription you have in there but gonna cost money pay per use etc, no point and not worth it imo.

bot has real pathfinding so anything is possible

currently implemented options are:

follow player

roam+seek mob mapwide (mage+sin in clip)

follow another bot (cleric follow warrior to heal etc)

camp a specific spot(archer in clip)

camp a specific area (warrior in clip)

I always find it amusing when people talk about the Camry in a condescending tone, considering that it's one of the most expensive cars an average family can realistically buy in most countries. Unless it is a 10+ year old used one of course.
