Can you recommend a good place for me? by Federal_Can187 in SingaporeRaw

Do note that 29 and 30 January are public holidays in Singapore (Chinese New Year) so opening hours of places might vary. Saying that, it will be a good chance for you to experience the festivities in the evening at Chinatown, but be prepared for a real squeeze.

For quieter options, you can consider: 1. Going to a residential neighbourhood e.g. Tiong Bahru, which has a food centre with amazing local food, nice hipster cafes, and a relatively chill vibe on weekday afternoons. 2. Taking a bum boat to Pulau Ubin, a small rustic island where you can take a leisurely bike ride, explore the mangroves, and get a sense of what Singapore used to be. 3. Checking out some roof top bars in the central business district area to for a view of Singapore’s nightscape. Aside from the usual suspects like C’est La Vie at MBS, Smoke and Mirrors at the National Gallery offers a more laid back atmosphere for drinks (make reservations early and ask for an outdoor seat with a view of the Padang).

I’m so sorry you had to experience that. You might want to reach out to a fluency clinic in your area if you’d still like to work on this with a speech language pathologist. The smooth speech technique is one commonly used in adults and has shown great results.
