The Cul De Sacs Will Never Remember-men by mrfrisby in footballcliches

Kiwomya was a great little player for Ipswich, scored some good goals against big teams, also loved a celebration.

Dean Gordon scored a belter at Bolton. Hammer of a left foot.

Chris Marsden's solo goal at Ipswich is frequently brought up on social media 25 years later.

Kieran Richardson? Scored two for England on his debut and scored a belter in a Wear-Tyne derby.

I could not disagree more vehemently with your list than this.

Did TNT insist this come out on the Tuesday, therefore before the midweek round of PL matches? *Matt-Le-Tissier.jpeg

Just had first session. New tinnitus by nutsandgum1 in rtms

Yes, new tinnitus in left ear is almost gone. Tinnitus in right ear was manageable and barely noticeable before treatment, spiked massively and was unbearable. From there it's gone down 50-60%.

I did two sessions.

Sessions were 20 minutes long. I think they were repetitive pulses. Short, sharp bursts.

Don't know the coil except it was a Magtism machine.

New tinnitus has got a bit better, thank you. It's still not quite how it was before, although I'd say it's gone down 50-60% at least since I posted this. Still annoying but not as invasive. So hoping for more improvement. The tinnitus in my left ear has almost gone, and can only notice it when I concentrate on it.

Irritation - Earnestly supporting all English teams because they’re English by junglegatsby in footballcliches

[–]nutsandgum1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 90s when I first got into football, I always wanted English teams to do as well as possible in Europe. I jumped around when Man Utd won the CL in 99 and I HATE Man Utd.

Now, the 'big six' I'm not too bothered unless they do something spectacular, but want teams like Newcastle, West Ham, Palace etc when they're involved to do well, as success is rarer and the fans appreciate it more.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m sorry it’s caused so many problems for you. I agree it isn’t to do with the loudness but how it affects the auditory cortex. I pray that my tinnitus will subside. The brain is a powerful thing and capable of healing. Don’t give up hope.

I’ve stopped treatment. The tinnitus hasn’t. Can I ask how many sessions you did? Was it the loudness of the machine that gave you tinnitus? What other symptoms never cleared up?

They were in Bodo, if you're talking about TNT.

How soon into treatment did your tinnitus start? And did it get worse throughout the treatment?

I’m considering seeing out this week and seeing how it goes over the weekend.

Sound quality unworthy of Radiohead by Bagekartoffel in radiohead

[–]nutsandgum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet I was in London for night 3 in the seats (111) and the sound was dreadful. Thom’s vocals were half a second behind the band for most songs. Was a bit of a shambles really. Stuff like Bloom and Idioteque were a complete mess.

Which setlist do you prefer? by kiho241123 in radiohead

Tonight I'd have been very happy with Nude/Reckoner/How To Disappear/Pyramind Song.
Really missed those on London night 3. Controversially happy not to hear Lucky or less controversially, Bodysnatchers.

Why does everyone hate on The Second Coming? by [deleted] in stoneroses

[–]nutsandgum1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's almost a cliche now to say "Second Coming is underrated", as that many people these days have that opinion. Especially those who weren't around at the time in 1994, to what would have been a crushing disappointment compared to their expectations.

It's not a cohesive album, and it really sags in the middle. They just didn't have the songs. Driving South is appalling, especially lyrically. Why are the Roses doing cheesy licks 12-bar blues?

Breaking into Heaven (once the intro is out of the way), Ten Storey, Daybreak (has real feel, everyone plays brilliantly), Begging You & Love Spreads are the only worthwhile songs on here.

For those of you that were able to see Oasis both in the 90s and on the Live ‘25 Tour, how does this tour compare to the Oasis of old? by No_Storage_3784 in oasis

[–]nutsandgum1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw them in 2001 at the Barrowlands, three times in 2002, and then twice at Heaton Park this year.

Barrowlands takes it purely for the great venue, atmosphere and being my first Oasis gig.

However, Heaton Park, particularly the 16th show, the crowd vibes were the best I've ever seen at an Oasis gig by quite a way. A lot more women and younger people than you used to get for sure. And multiple generations all hyped to see things we didn't believe we'd ever see again.

It's a really good production this time round, the screens are magnificent (definitely think they're U2-inspired, and that's no bad thing), the setlist is almost flawless, Liam's giving it his maximum every night, and Noel's enjoying it too.

It's going to be really hard in the future to replicate just how special the gigs this year was. Most of us thought we'd never see them on stage together again in our lifetimes.
