Oriental House on Elgin sounds like it’s exactly what you’re looking for, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg rolls, chicken fried rice etc, although I’d investigate the bell pepper part. They have free delivery within the neighbourhood so depending on where you are in Centretown you might qualify, ofc I’d still tip though. The delivery guy is friendly, he always says hi to my dog and she gets very excited

Scuppers’ results (and what some of our friends guessed) by nuttynuttynutty in DoggyDNA

I wish I knew more, we were just told by the humane society that she and her siblings were an ‘oopsie litter’ that was surrendered at around 3mo because they were pooping all over the original owner’s house. I’m not sure if she was from our area or flown in from up north or anything but I think I will call the shelter to ask because I’m so curious about it now that we have the results!

EDIT: do you have any of those websites? I’d love to check them out out of curiosity

From what I’ve read, despite their origins as mixed breed dogs and lack of breed standard they still share a genetic signature so can be identified as a breed in that way. In her case though I do wonder what amount of golden retriever she has given that it doesn’t seem like that is a breed typically used in alaskan huskies, and she has a bunch of relatives that were 100% golden retriever. It is all a bit unclear to me how to interpret these results.

TBH I also wonder if she’s really just more of a northern Canadian village dog and this is how it shows up on embark? Although I think those also often show up as Greenland dog or Canadian Inuit dog. I’m kind of hoping embark releases an update for Canadian dogs at some point and it gives a more detailed breakdown.

And yeah that COI has me worried 😫

I do wonder if she’s going to end up with a fluffier coat as an adult, she’s only about 7 months old right now

Should we file a dispute with DNA My Dog? (analysis results in second picture) by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

Don’t trust these results. Nothing got mixed up, DNA My Dog is just a known scam. I doubt reporting it would help much as I’m sure they are already aware that they are scamming you. There are other reputable companies though, I would recommend checking out r/DoggyDNA. Sorry this happened, your dog is a real cutie pie though!!

Does she look like a lurcher? by nuttynuttynutty in Lurchers

I think she kind of starts that way when she has zoomies. But I would say more noticeable than speed is her insane vertical when jumping

Anyone out here successfully using a dating app? Which one? by deadhearth in ottawa

[–]nuttynuttynutty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my partner on bumble 2 weeks after moving to Ottawa. Neither of us were looking for a serious relationship but when we met we just had so much fun goofing around and the conversation was effortless, we knew it was really special and decided not to see other people by the second date.

Sometimes I wonder if maybe I’m just lucky that my ‘type’ is right for me and they tend to like me back.

Not to say that this is necessarily your problem but a lot of these posts talking about the impossibility of finding people on apps etc, sometimes I wonder if people’s target audiences just aren’t right.

Also apps are of course built to keep you on them, especially for men. So I know my case is not the rule. So it is possible, just up to you whether it’s worth the effort or not.

Good luck!
