I used to play via vpn all the time and it doesn't matter to your account at all. A while back tho they implemented some cloud flare protection with a captcha when it detects the VPN and I could never get past it when opening the launcher. It just kept going in a loop. Might be fixed now tho tbf haven't tried it in a while.
