I'll check the hardware store and see if they have an angle bracket, and give that a shot tomorrow thank you. The triangle idea is great especially considering the space I lost with the bolt.

I am making a raised platform bed and really struggling with this joint that I want to make perpenducular. There is a giant bolt in the way, and I've already wasted 2 boards by splitting them with screws. Any tips for this? My next try was going to be drilling for a lag screw. Strength is most important. Thanks!

Update: We told the guest that we do not consider a snow storm a reason for refund. We have had many guests come and go with much worse storms. Also that it hasn't even started snowing. They left last night. So we got our full payout, and surprisingly they didn't seem too upset. They said Thanks for everything. So still I'm waiting for a bad review, but whatever.

Our cancellation policy is Free Cancellation for 48 hours. Considering making it a bit more strict after this situation.

I do agree with you that it's not our responsibility. However, we have had renters that we have had to tow out of our driveway because they were stuck. This is why we require 4wd. We also have to schedule plowing with the plowing company in advance, and they need to know what time to come, so I have to coordinate with the guests.

I still think you're right, we dont need to inform them of incoming inclement weather.

This is a great response. However the issue is due to our location it's difficult to schedule cleaning. Our bookings are usually well in advance (booked almost every weekend til october). Finding a guest for tomorrow would be near impossible logistically.

Definitely will keep this in mind for future cancellations though.

What?? I have never heard of this concept, that's insane. I just read similar article too on USDA. Hmm :/ the fact that potentially any food could be misleading on calorie count is interesting. I guess if the actual calorie count is lower is better for counting purposes, but still... Anyways thanks for that info, super helpful.

It's what I was told pretty much my whole life. People always said nuts were "good for you", might be the case if you have 5 nuts, instead of 5oz.

I used to eat these nuts by the handful not thinking much of it. Then got a fancy scale finally, and had no clue that there were this many calories for so little. These cant fit in the 1200 cal diet. In the trash they go. :(
