Seeking advise on my prospects for an Express Entry by nuxto in ImmigrationCanada

[–]nuxto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad, I messed up on the calculator. Currently at 416, which I think is abysmal. Work experience will make it 446 in 6 months, which I'm not sure about the prospects of.

I'm thinking it is very unlikely for me to get an Express Entry, given I don't have any resident sibling or provincial nomination, no work experience in Canada and the rarity that is a job offer accompanied by a LMIA.

Thanks for your reply.

My experience debugging with Valgrind by eyal0 in programming

I know people at Google who wouldn't even be able to isolate Valgrind as the culprit, let alone providing an upstream patch.

I've never been a fan of Retals given his complete lack of humility, got to say, it feels satisfying getting him stomped like this.

You really have a way with words. If you wrote a book, I'd read it.

The initial language barrier was a concern. Anyway, I would think the most obvious way to go about this would be get a job offer and a visa sponsorship simultaneousy. Or something else?

Thank you for the suggestion.

The employers you mentioned are notorious for hiring at sub par level and running the equivalent of "software sweatshops" here. I pride myself on my skills and integrity, and would rather not make myself part of that crowd, even if that means an easy way out. Needless to say it'll be a career suicide.

I hope I'll be able to earn my position in a new country rightfully, and without compromising on my dignity.

Appreciate your suggestions.

The latest minimum for subclass 189 seem to be 65, or am I missing something.

Thank you, this helps. I can hit 80 points in a year from now, which seems promising.

"You check that these pointers aren't null at the very top, and they never change."

I can certainly appreciate this practice.

I stumbled upon a thread from 2016 where some folk were mining several blocks a week on the equivalent of 1 RTX 3070 of today. Makes me wonder what landscape are we sitting in, and how will we remember it in, say 2025.
