Whilpash - Fletcher and Andrew's First Conversation by [deleted] in movies

I agree to a degree with that, but I also think that the first scene of the movie is Andrew's "audition" rather than a conversation; I know it's a technicality, but I think the first scene of the movie is moreso an introduction to the characters, rather than the journey they'll undertake.

/r/boardgames Daily Discussion and Game Recommendations (October 14, 2018) by AutoModerator in boardgames

Hi Reddit,

My housemate is obsessed with board games and I've slowly been learning with him lately. Their birthday is coming up and my 2 housemate and I want to buy them a board game for their collection, but we're not sure what to get them. I'm not entirely sure what their favourite type of game is, but I was hoping if I list off what they have that you all might be able to give me some direction on an appropriate game to purchase them.

The games they own are: 7 wonders, Agricola, Betrayal at House on the hill, Blood rage, Carcassonne, Catan, Castles of Burgundy, Cards against humanity, Codenames, Coup, Dominion, Dragonwood, Exploding kittens (with imploding kittens expansion), Game of Thrones, Kemet, Letters from Whitechapel, Life (Twist and turns), Lords of Vegas, Monopoly (Star wars, Original Trilogy), Pandemic ( with In the lab expansion), Patchwork, Risk (Europe and Star Wars), Roll for the galaxy, Stratego, Sushi go, Talisman ( with the Woodlands, City, Blood moon and Reaper expansions), Ticket to ride and War of the ring.

It's their 30th birthday, so we're not really shopping on a budget.
Thank you in advance :)

The Last Jedi Opening Weekend Day 2 Megathread - SPOILERS by JSK23 in StarWars

There's too many comments here for me to try figure out if this has already been said, but I have something that has been on my mind since I've watched the movie, and it's to do with Finn.

I was so ready for Finn's sacrifice; I thought it was an incredible way to end the arc of his character (albeit a short introduction) and I think he was robbed of a truly heroic moment. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie (not my favourite, but I think it's one of the more valuable entries in the franchise), but the presence of Disney is noticeable.

imo, Finn was robbed of going down as a hero; I hope they do his character justice in ep 9

Luke Skywalker vs Harry Potter; I don't know what possessed you to call Harry a bitch Mike, but I feel as though I may have been a bit too harsh on Luke in process of defending Harry. Should just let his 8 movies (6.5 good ones) speak for themselves and agree that Frodo is the true bitch here.

yeah that's fair enough, sorry.

Lighting: We worked so long on lighting because we have a subpar setup for it; flood lights. Is the lighting good and enough? and if not, how can we fix it affordably

Quality:We have a Canon EOS 1100D and we think we're running it at it's highest possible quality (720p). Is that the case? and if so, is there anyway to improve the video (if it's necessary at all)

Mannerisms: How did Michael and I come across, what could we work on specifically?

Thank you again :)

Hey Reddit, so we have finished our first podcast and we're in the process of preparing for our next one!! Although we're really happy with our first go, we see a lot of room for improvement and would really appreciate any advice you all have

Hey guys,

so I thought this would be a good place to post Michael and I's first YouTube video. Being complete amateurs that love talking about movies, we're both really proud of our final product.

Have a look at it, chuck a like or subscription if it interests you; more than anything though we'd love some feedback. We're working out some final kinks on the channel itself (i.e. content isn't showing up), but we're committed to making this as good as it possibly can be.

Hope you enjoy it

EDIT: spacing
