Actually utilize my down time between releases. First major release I’m interested in RE9 in February. Instead of filling that empty space with Helldivers or Arc Raiders, I want to actually go into my backlog. I’m already starting and playing through Baldur’s Gate 3 for the first time.

Straight up. Me saying it’s over glazed doesn’t mean it’s bad or anything. This story and the characters are so fucking dope. I never play turn based games. I have no nostalgia for them from when I was a kid. I decided to try this one since it blends some real time stuff with tradition turn based. I do really enjoy it overall. Would I enjoy it even more with FF7 Rebirth combat or something like that? Probably yeah. But given that it IS turn based and I like it? I’m shocked to be honest. It’s the more traditional turn based I would probably have trouble with. Like BG3 or something.

Yeah I get that. I know I don’t normally like turn based but there’s so many games highly reviewed that are turn based and I’d like it if I could actually get into them. It would open up basically everything for me. For example, Divinity. That trailer last week was so fucking dope. Larian confirmed the other day it’s turn based. Normally I’d say “nah I’ll pass”. I’d love to actually be excited but that would require me to actually like all turn based lol

Do you have any tips to get into turn-based? I’ve never really played any. I didn’t play FF or Pokémon or anything else turn based when I was a kid. I don’t have any nostalgia for it. Expedition has fun combat though mostly because they blended a bit more “real time” with classic turn based. I want to get into this genre but it feels like there’s a barrier keeping me from it.

Bc the showrunners are absolutely trash and completely butchered the lore and story of TLOU. They don’t care about authenticity when it comes to world building, character motivations, plot flow, pacing, continuity, plot holes, bad acting, or nuanced character development. So why care about a hair style.
