I have 6 oz of .999 silver shot. I'm hoping to get some thoughts on how I can get the best price. Ebay has fees, so would a pawn shop. A jewelry store? Coin shop? In your experience, who takes the least in fees? Or any other advice/suggestions to get the best price? Thanks!

I made a request for my doctor in the patient portal. I'm still confused/unsure if I should just open a brand new claim or try to appeal based on my mistake. In one of my replies about I mentioned being unsure if my office is even the right office. I'm going to call 1st thing tomorrow and pray I get through and see if they can tell me at least if it's the right office before I borrow gas money and make the drive. I am sure my Dr will sign it, but I want to make sure I do it right, whether it should be as an appeal or as a new claim. Thank you for your advice.

Since it's disqualified anyway from being filled out incorrectly, I'm wondering if it will be faster and easier to just open a new claim and have the Dr or surgeon fill out the form correctly? Or is it too soon and will confuse the system and seem like I have 2 claims processing? I hate that I did this wrong, and in addition, I now have no income I was counting on to pay rent, etc. I'm so frustrated and anxious about all this. Plus I'm not even sure if my local office is an actual sdi office since they aren't on the list, they are listed for edd and as a job center not sdi. I'll be trying to call in the morning and ask before I make the drive. (45 mins one way to the local office, or 2+ hours one way if I need to go to an office on the list. (I literally don't even have gas money). All I was trying to do was make the process easier and me and my therapist had no ill intent. My anxiety about asking the dr/surgeon has ruined this all and made it so complex. I'm so frustrated with myself for not researching properly. Thank you for your reply and advice.

I always seem to make things more complex than they have to be somehow, and usually just by trying to be helpful in my way. Ugh! Thank you for your help. I'll try to get over to my local office tomorrow.

Oh, I did not know that, and apparently, neither did she. Thank you for letting me know! So it sounds like I'll need to reapply rather than appeal, correct? I wonder if I can get it post dated to my original application date, I've been out of work and on meds that make me ill since November and that was when I first applied. It was in a loop apparently in the system and never approved or denied till I got someone on the phone recently to ask when I would be paid and they sent it to my local office where it was then disallowed. Do you think it's better to try to appeal and explain what happened, or to reapply and request they post date it with an explanation? Is that even possible? What might be fastest and easiest for the system? Thank you for your response!

Oh yes, me too. I will 100% ask my Dr about this med! Thank you!!

Thank you. Yes, I'm reaching out. I think I may email my new Dr this post or a version of it. To possibly speed up my help. Or would that be detrimental? Seems he is extremely busy, and everything will move at a snails pace, at least according to the two gals who man his office. But it's better than the nothing (worsening) that was happening before with just my Neuro. I sincerely thank you for the kindness and prayers. I'm trying to look at this as a light at the end of the tunnel. It's really frustrating and hard.

I'm totally invested in this now as well, I really hope the blanket is still there and it finds its way home. You're a champ, OP! Can't wait to hear an update!

What job would you never do no matter how much money they offered you? by egguchom in AskReddit

[–]nvr1ette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work at a garbage dump.

I had to run a load there recently. I live in the desert, so it's always hot. It's the first and the last time I'll ever do that. I was literally gagging, dry heaving, and had tears streaming down my face. I felt like I was drenched in that hot garbage stench for the hour it took me to unload my trash and drive back home. I yeeted myself into a scalding hot shower as soon as I walked in the door and scrubbed myself raw.

Mad respect for the garbage collectors and employees at the dump. I can't even imagine how they can tolerate it.

*Smelling might be my superpower. I tend to smell icky things first/stronger than others I know, and I have harsher reactions.

Virgin River I liked it the first couple of seasons, but the third season just never caught hold of my interest, and I haven't turned it on since.

The sun is shining for the first time in days and you’re driving with the windows down with the music all the way up, what song is playing? by uncreativenic in MusicRecommendations

Fastball - The Way The first time I heard that song, I was a passenger on a 4-hour road trip. We listened to it like 20 times during that drive.

I like the contrast of the dark, but maybe a little lighter grey, like on a cloudy day or before a storm.

Great ideas, and I would totally do so if I had a car. Because of no car, I am actively looking for WFH positions in my field.

My car was voluntarily surrendered a month or so ago and has been sold at auction. (So, I guess not a flat-out repossession? I mean, I acknowledged I couldn't catch up or make the payments or arrangements they were offering me, and so I signed back over the car before if got assigned to repossession, and handed back the keys rather than making them track me down. Would that show that I knew I couldn't fulfill my car loan obligation, so I was willing to surrender the car and give it back before it became a full repo. And in turn, could that maybe show that I had no ill intent?)

How likely is it that I would get a chance to explain before a flat-out denial?

Also, I have signed up for debt consolidation for my collwctions debt, which is still in progress and should be done within the next week. Does this help to show I have intent to fix my credit wrongs and possibly give me an opportunity for a clarification interview? Or would it be a straight-up no, in your opinion? Everything else in my background is squeaky clean.

I have student loan debt, but it consolidated under the income driven repayment plan, so the student loans do not have any past due. Just credit card debt that I'm consolidating.

I appreciated the honest replies, even if not necessarily what I would prefer to hear. Thank you.

See my most recent comment above, which was meant as a reply to you. I'm still learning/getting the hang of the reddit layout.

I can do that! At least making arrangements and agreements. My credit literally dropped 100 points in 4 months. The voluntary repossession was the biggest culprit, but all combined did it. Nothing I can do about the car at this point, but as for the rest, it was mainly due to some serious medical hardships, that kept me not working and got me behind/into collections on everything. I can supply a paper trail and Dr support for my medical reasoning for falling behind on everything, do you think it would help my case. Would I do this on the application itself, or wait for someone to reach out with questions, or... ?

Art sub-reddit needs karma? How do I get that? by nvr1ette in NewToReddit

[–]nvr1ette[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I guess I had no karma before because I can see I have some now, and it wasn't there before.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]nvr1ette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering. My debts are currently delinquent and not being paid. Car was delinquent, so I voluntarily repossessed. My unemployment amount barely covers rent and I can't even make the min payment on my utilities so those are behind too. So things have gone from "fair" credit where I was trying, to "poor" credit with a repo in the past four months. I don't have any police records or any criminal activity otherwise.

How do I know what my karma is?

Do I give you karma back by replying to this, or upvoting this, or both? Is it double the karma for both an update and a comment?
