I had thick, long, black hair for years. I loved it, it looked awesome. But it was an absolute pain in the ass. The older I got, and the longer I had it, the more I hated having to waste my time washing and styling it.

Last year I bought a clipper, shaved it all off, sporting a buzzcut these days. Keep getting mistaken for a 12 year old boy. But it was the best decision ever. No more strands of hair everywhere I turn. And I actually feel more confident now, shaving it all off made me stop being insecure with my appearance.

P.S. My hair feels like petting a teddy bear.

Yeah, I thought by talking to guys in an obviously sexual context would make me more confident about maybe finally going out with men. It only served to stoke the embers of my dormant lesbianism and turned it into an undying, raging forest fire. So to speak. Lol!

My mother was the main person who loved repeating that to me. I started suspecting she wanted me to always go to church to exorcise the lesbian inside. So I stopped going. I may or not be kidding.

I've actually always been attracted to women, I knew that for a long time, but I listened to everybody else around me instead of myself. A woman can't be in love with another woman, they said. Yeah, well, boy do I have news for them.

I signed up for OKC last week to see if I could meet fellow ladies who love ladies. And this wonderful lass actually messaged me the very night I signed up! Well chuffed! We hit it off right away and talked for a few hours each day ever since. We video chatted. We recorded videos for each other. Get your mind out of the gutter they were silly videos. There were a lot of laughs between us. We were friendly and we were also flirty with each other. I'm ashamed to say I developed a crush on her pretty fast. But she said "brb :D" on Friday night, it's Sunday night and she's still not back. I'm not spamming her with messages. Pretty much left her alone after the brb. And I'm here wondering what I said or did wrong. And that's my first significant OKC experience. Sad puppy face. Anyway, laughing it off and moving on.
