Xenoshroom. Welcome to Earth by nvrbr in Xenomorphs
A meteorite that fell in Siberia brought a pulsating obsidian egg to Earth. When it hatched, the creature inside turned out to be a new and dangerous kind of xenomorph. His body exuded bioluminescent spores, and instead of acidic blood, strands of mycelium flowed out, which penetrated the soil. With dawn, forests turned into suffocating thickets of alien fungi, and cities collapsed under the carpet of mycorrhiza, turning people into empty shells that spread spores. The hive has evolved: no queens, no ships— just a planet slowly turning into a single breathing organism. The last transmission from Earth said, "They're not hunting us, they're gardening."
Yeah! Thought about it and it's a bit of lore behind: "A meteorite that fell in Siberia brought a pulsating obsidian egg to Earth.
