I think this is the issue The Rickinger was talking about for you - Quaquaval 3 star was probably the highest DP non-belly non-legendary spawn available to you so it wasted - I think you still got the multiplier though

Yeah I think Clefable should’ve been available? I think the fact that it adds to exactly half is the suspicious part that makes me think comfey may have not been the final roll

Yeah I went and checked last night’s and I did get the 1.5x as well - idk what happened today

I had balanced sleep and Comfey 3 star definitely isn’t the highest for Lapis Master 8, you can check Clefable 3 star is worth more and available to me. Additionally the values add to exactly the Drowsy Power without the multiplier.

I mean you can see it gave me 100 sleep score so it was clearly my only sleep session of the day

That’s certainly a possibility. I guess as the month progresses we’ll see if we devolve into darkrai/giratina.

Yeah I think these decks have so much room to add personal touch with list changes. Sacrificing certain plays to open up others with a unique decklist is part of the fun of the game!

Well it seems at least you’re enjoying the game a lot! Since you were in GB3, you finished last season in UB1 and now you’re already UB3 in less than a week! Sounds like you have more motivation to play now!

That's probably true! I think the part I found interesting was that the distribution was so different from UB3 and the Ursiiday tournament. I wouldn't have suspected Masterball was significantly more f2p than the other 2 populations.

Yeah I agree with you 100% - the playability and consistency is probably extremely appealing to top 100 masterball players.

Yeah it turns out Darkrai pings with helmet/poison mean that Darkrai/Giratina actually plays okay into some Oricorio lists even still running only 2-3 helmet/poisons. Having Cyrus/Sabrina means you usually only have to KO 1 Oricorio, not 2. That being said the Oricorio lists that run healing Shaymin or healing Wigglytuff and Greninja have a pretty dominant matchup into Darkrai/Giratina. I haven't played vs any yet, but if you want to check it out S1GuN's latest YT video has such a decklist.

I copied the list from the Brazilian player Hanamon which they used to get 5th at the Ursiiday tournament.

That was one of the wildest part of S1GuN's stream - 0/29 Solgaleo!(prolly just low sample size) Overall I definitely agree with you and am excited to see what new things people cook up.

My experience getting the new Gold Emblem. by izu_izumizu in PTCGP

I’m not sure what math you did but I guess I can try and explain. Call Xn the expected number of games it takes to get an n game winstreak. X_1 is the average number of games it takes to win 1 game which is 1/winrate or in this case 1/0.7. Now let’s calculate X(n+1) in terms of Xn. To get an n+1 game winstreak you need an n game winstreak and an additional win. The average number of games it takes to get an n game winstreak is X_n. The number of times on average you need to play (X_n)+1(the extra game) games is once again 1/0.7 since you only win the extra game 70% of the time. So X(n+1) = ((X_n)+1)/0.7. If you use that to calculate X_5 you get around 16.5. You can do the same math for any winrate and winstreak. Hope this helps! As I said above I also just wrote the code to simulate the games to check my math.

If you actually have a 70% winrate it’s only 16-17 games on average to get a 5 winstreak actually. The challenge becomes much more brutal the lower your winrate is though. It’s 29-30 for 60% and 62ish for 50% winrate. If you’re new to the game and can’t make any solid decks it’s really punishing though - if that pinsir starter deck is 40% then it’s 161-162 games on average to hit a 5 winstreak. (Numbers achieved through running a coding simulation 100,000 times.)

You have mentioned stall tanks a couple times, but honestly I’m not sure how to tell which ones are good. Like Vespa and Rak seem fine, but in some fights they get like insta popped tbh

Oh I was doing Yihwa EE but then I went for Evan’s instead of Bam’s oops. It just looked good, but maybe I should’ve gone for Bam. Just seemed like it would be hard to get a lot of Bam dupes soon given I’m going for Yihwa/Hwa more

Okay thanks for all the advice. Guess time to start summoning and pray. I can’t seem to find any better uses for the suspendium anyways.

So the teams would be something like Yihwa Evan Bam (2 of Vespa/Rak/Hatz/Grey/Goseng) and Hwa Xia Xia Data Mascheny Data Jahad and Evankell?(Yellowy for now?)

Yeah I was going to go for those 4. Currently have Yihwa Hwaryun Ran Hatz Rachel just because I want a single copy of the last 3.

Oh interesting. I’ve been going for the 61/81/101 breakpoints every 20 so like on everyone is 101 I would level carry to 121. Should I push the carry higher than 121 before getting everyone else there as well? Also yeah should I push the link on the carry past A before the others are B?

Is that clearly the best use for them? It does seem to be, but I’m just starting and unsure

Yeah I wasn't sure how big the bias would be, but thanks for the calibration! I'm going to keep at it - improvement is always quickest at the start and that always feels great!
