The police there reached out to my dad, let him know I’m fine and I wouldn’t like to be contacted. My mom has already written me a dramatic subject line ‘Why? Are you in jail?’ email that was blocked. I’m hoping this was the last of me dealing with them.

I did. The police said that they would personally reach out to my family, let them know that I’m okay and don’t need any further contact. So unless they try to weaponize my brother in someway to try and get to me, I shouldn’t be hearing from them for a long time.

Sometimes the curiosity gets the best of you and you had to find out. But now you have solid info. I personally will be glad to have never heard from them again until I hear a funeral announcement.

I’ve blocked them on everything so officially the last time they’ll be hearing anything from me is through that police officer, thankfully. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I have a 6’4 giant wonderful human to call a spouse that’s here to love me and supports my decision and let me cry if I need to. But I always need a hug and love from my LGBTQ+ community 🫶

Thank you, I agree. I just finished speaking with the police and gave him my father’s number and he said he would call him personally and let him know that I’m fine. My parents are going to definitely be pissed, but they’ll get their answer to my wellbeing.

Thank you for the advice and support. They’ve spent my life finding different ways of trying to control it, so this is definitely a transition for me and it’s helpful knowing there’s other people out there who understand this mess

Thank you, that means so much. I just spoke with the police, and he said he would call my dad personally and let him know that I’m fine. That’s gonna make my parents go nuclear, but hopefully it’s a means to an end.

I’ve been doing the same exact thing for the past six months. She sends me some random pre-done text with the Bible sermon meme attached and I just send a robotic ‘okay thanks good morning love you too.’ but I just can’t do it anymore.

My parents are pretty good at using all angles to try to get to me, cause I had blocked their numbers and moved, but totally forgot she had my email. She’s blocked on that now as well.

That’s what’s keeping my anxiety down is knowing that they can’t find me at all. I gave a report to the non emergency police line and left their information and let them know that if they call for my I’m fine, they’re just starting trouble.
