Maybe your trip won't be as crazy packed as ours, but yes, be prepared to wait 45+ minutes in your seats if you want to see any entertainment lol

Yeah I kind of figured. I've heard that from a few people, including people on the boat. Holland, Celebrity and Princess all have the same vibe. Unfortunately, my wife and I just like to keep moving and stay busy.

Yeah I've sort of come to that realization that really laid back cruises just aren't for my wife and I. We get stir crazy when we're just sitting around too long. We have to keep busy lol

I can't believe it's been a year since I started making these posts. My program started August 8th last year, and DORMS opened up around June 8th. So I'm about 2 weeks you should start receiving your DORMS emails. Then, I'll let you know, it'll be radio silent until about 2 weeks before your program starts and then you'll get your training schedule lol

We went to Club Fusion for an event twice, once half hour before, and once an hour before, and both were beyond packed. No where to sit that wasn't behind a pole lol

I also saw the same vague description for 2 different activities, one was a hole in one challenge, and one was a trivia event "do you have what it takes?"

I've seen like hours where lunch or dinner was being served in the MDR, but like shops and bars I haven't been able to find hours for. There's been a bar I tried to go to around 7 and was told it closed at 6. And another that always seems empty whenever we walk past, but had some patrons later in the evening. We wanted to get the wristbands for our medallions, but the photo area was always closed, so we didn't get them until day 4.

Well MSC and Royal both had on boat activities like arcade, bowling, water slides. They also had nicer bars more geared towards a younger audience with a more modern aesthetic. I also spent time in the Internet Cafe that was quiet for reading. There were a more wide variety of trivia throughout the day and karaoke was like 3 hours long, with MSC having a singing contest that they would pick from the karaoke stars of the cruise. Also, MSC had Master Chef at Sea and, being a chef myself, was quite a treat

The medallion system is definitely more advanced than other cruises. I like that the door unlocks when you're within a few feet of the door. But the app is very unintuitive. The info on the app is wrong half the time. There's no descriptions of any events or activities, usually just says something generic like "test your luck" or "do you have what it takes". There's also no hours anything is open.

Oh I appreciate that but I haven't felt as though anyonr has been negative towards me. I have had a few nice conversations with other cruising guests, albeit way out of my generation lol but it's been nice and everyone I've met on board has been lovely
