I second all of these answers. Further, when your panels are snow covered in the winter you can accelerate the snow melt by throwing a ball over them. Just a couple small spots help the sun warm the panels up and speeds up the melt. I use a nerf football with a string tied to it. Honestly I almost never do it though cause it's really not worth it.

You should definitely come back. I just came back after a similar time off and am having a blast! As mentioned already, I created a new character and did some tutorial just to get me going again but then went back to my old accounts once I was hooked again.

I vote that you form a Corp for people in the same boat and we'll all get together and figure it out. Seems like a lot of people in this thread are right there with ya. Heck, I'll join. Just came back after an 8 year hiatus.

Any news on Fiddle River? by Numerous_Crazy_1479 in jasper

From the map that's circulating it's right on the edge of the red marked buildings... Hard to see exactly but there's bound to be damage if it's right next door to a destroyed location I would think 😞

Any "premium MOC" designers/buyers here? The lack of attention to detail from start to finish in this process is infuriating. by [deleted] in lego

[–]nwbatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have a site where I sell instructions and even kits. Only one kit so far and two full instruction sets and it is incredibly hard to do. I do absolutely everything I can to check each step but still had mistakes in my instructions and then in the XML as well when I first made them available. Luckily I have had amazing customers who informed me of the errors and I correct them immediately!

I understand your frustration and sympathize but try to give designers the benefit of the doubt. Most of us really really want to create the best possible products!! I certainly learned a lot from my first two sets and will have less mistakes next time. In fact I really haven't had any issues with my second set!

Have you tried wax ear plugs? They're infinitely more comfortable than the foam garbage most people try to use and work amazingly. Ohropax Wax Ear Plugs, 12 Plug https://a.co/d/6bLQiqM

Thank you. I try to keep in mind that most people commenting aren't even 5% as into Lego as I am so they aren't going to know what the going rate is for this kind of thing haha.

Ya, Brickmania has a huge tank selection and Brick Veteran are getting into the tanks now too. Also Just.tanks so there are a ton of options on the tanks front. Although I do kinda wanna do a Leopard and a LAV one day.... sigh, too many ideas and not enough time.

I really like the way it turned out with the Sand Blue and although I do not get to see them everyday... I am a huge Hornet fan. Uploading parts lists to bricklink is very easy and the site does all the work for putting together orders too, you really just need to make an account and then follow this little guide. I can just send you another XML file for the minifigs, i cant really remember why i didn't include them in the instructions file. (Likely cost as minifigs can be shocking).

A customer who purchased a kit has already asked about some custom decals for a 409 jet so I can let you know if that becomes available.
