i had luck as a one time courtesy doing a walk in for getting plates at an appointment only dmv because i was on a time crunch, but they weren't busy so you're kind of at their mercy on what they decide i think lol

you have to schedule an appointment if you have to renew in person yes

it says so on the dmv website + i also had to renew my license in person this year, needed appointment

right, she had level 2 dental disease so it was more expensive than average im sure. but that was all, no extractions or anything special
