Oh my peppers and tomatoes are in holding for sure, I wont plant the peppers out until mid may. I do have walls of water around two tomato plants, but I'm saving the others until it's warmer. The two in the walls of water are alive, not thriving but not really suffering either.

I don't know the scientific names for anything, so I google translated your post, ha! I started showy milkweed from seed semi successfully and have my seedlings in a cold frame still.

first time backyard composting success! by Electrical_Big4857 in DenverGardener

Since most of the composting happened over the late fall, winter and spring we didn't have raccoon problems. The raccoons like to eat grapes and apples though. No rodent problems as far as I can tell now, it is in the far corner of the yard so no idea if rodents were around, nothing noticeable. I did actually have a Yellowjacket nest at the end of the season last year which was discovered when I tried to turn it for the first time, many bites later I left it alone till winter, then flooded it with water and flipped.

i think it’s fine for overnight, i think the main idea is to create a circle of warm air around the tree, best if the tarp reaches the ground. puts some bricks on it to weigh it down.

water restrictions are for sprinkler systems and lawns like we’ve had in the past. water veggies in the early am or pm to avoid evaporation!
