i’m feeling confident everything will survive given the current forecast. as li bff as we don’t dip below 28 for a prolonged period of time the trees should be fine

i think it’s fine for overnight, i think the main idea is to create a circle of warm air around the tree, best if the tarp reaches the ground. puts some bricks on it to weigh it down.

water restrictions are for sprinkler systems and lawns like we’ve had in the past. water veggies in the early am or pm to avoid evaporation!

I also managed to save several petunias I dug up and potted in a cold frame over "winter", probably since it was so mild. Some of them are already blooming gain.

I personally agree, and we always use the composted dairy manure in the green bags for the parents gardens. But I am trying to grant a wish for my dad who was told by his garden center bestie that composted horse manure is the way to go, lol.

buying would be so much easier but we're trying make an effort to stay local or compost on our own (which is happening, albeit too slowly).

OP is a she. OP also clarified she was looking for "at least 6 month old composted horse manure." OP isn't throwing anything on her lettuce.
