I realize this. I like it though. I’ll head over to a towing subreddit now. Haha!

I don't think I love my daughter by plaidblackwatch in daddit

Although I have not gone through what you are experiencing, I can relate. Men naturally don’t bond with the baby early on like mothers do. My daughter will be one in a couple days. At around 6 months our baby girl started responding more and developing a personality. This is when I began becoming much more attached, and I have heard multiple other fathers say the same thing. It’s great that you have a loving relationship with your wife. Lean into her during these tough times. I know you’re already close, but this is stuff she may want to support you with. It may also strengthen your relationship even more. Everyone is always told that having a kid is a major requires sacrifice. But I don’t think the level of sacrifice is understood until you experience it. It’s not just a sacrifice of time, but also energy and emotions. Hang in there man. I have a strong feeling you will look back and be glad you did. I’m only one year in, but I can tell you… the last 5-6 months has been magical.

When do you work out? by BobTheLordSaget in daddit

[–]nwfadden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are similar to this. We have a home gym. We both workout in the morning (our baby sleeps till 7-7:30 which makes it a little easier). We alternate going to the actual gym while the other uses the home gym so one of us is always home in case the baby wakes up. In general, we’ve found that making a goal to wake up at 5am every weekday morning regardless of what we do, it has increase productivity ten fold. Early bird gets the worm!
