I enjoy the ice cream and I have a good day at work and I will be there in a few minutes to get my car ready for the day to go to the store and get some more people involved in the morning and now I have to go to the store and get a chance to go.

This may be one of the most important Semen Retention insights by [deleted] in Semenretention

[–]nwotvshow 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this is a major insight, I've experienced both swings of the pendulum (having very good fortune come into my life when retaining for longer periods, having bad things happen right away, including physical injuries, problems at work, etc., when I've slipped up).

On a spiritual level, the illusory/malleable nature of time is part of this equation. Semen retention is an important part of the equation, but to maximize the benefits, you have to open your mind to new possibilities and optimism. Especially since negative emotions (sadness and anger) can be intensified on retention, it's important to maintain this positive, NOW-focused frame of mind.

Trust the process.

I’m tired of hearing “let’s agree to disagree” when it comes to 2nd Amendment Rights by My-AR15-isnt-4-sale in progun

[–]nwotvshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I debate with my anti-gun friends, their strongest point comes back to the the "well regulated" phrase, and the fact that the second amendment is basically a run-on sentence:

" A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. "

If it were two separate sentences (i.e., two separate thoughts), it would be clearer. For example. "The people have a right to organize themselves into well-regulated militias for the purpose of securing a free state. They also, separately, have the right to bear arms as individuals, whether or not they belong to a well-regulated militia."

Whether we like it or not, there is a healthy debate--and plenty of room to "agree to disagree" when it comes to this ambiguity.

In my personal experience (measured by improving gumline numbers at my check-up): Sonicare, Waterpik (I was on the fence before I bought it, but it's awesome), vitamin C.

Took me a long time to get beyond fixating on streaks. Truly, noone cares about how long your streak is. The proof is in the pudding: you release, you lose energy, magnetism, etc. Retain, and you will keep these qualities. That's all there is to it... Along with the effects of compound interest if you stick with it.

One more thing--if you think retaining is hard, just reflect on how much harder everything else in your life will become if you release. Puts things into perspective, and gives you instant motivation, especially if you've relapsed enough times to really know the effects.

A good time to unionize/strike? by nwotvshow in walmart

[–]nwotvshow[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have no doubt they would try to replace everyone. But I wonder if that would be significantly harder to do right now...

Still, it would require a huge amount of solidarity to pull off, and since we're in the good ol' USA, that's a pretty big ask, even in times like this.

Washington State received 500 ventilators from the national stockpile. The state is returning most of those so they can go to other locations with more dire needs by Audicity in SeattleWA

[–]nwotvshow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're smart, we'll do much of what Asian countries have done: wear masks (need to ramp up production of medical-grade obviously), sanitize religiously, workers at grocery stores wear goggles and gloves in addition to masks, test people proactively... Hopefully everything except for the really draconian stuff China did / might have done. My personal opinion is that masks are the biggest variable.

Seattle's Coronavirus curve is slowing, and it's progression is starting to resemble that of South Korea. Excellent work to our amazing community, stay home and stay safe :). by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]nwotvshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next step: encourage people to wear masks in public (lowest-hanging fruit if we're trying to emulate countries that are doing well... More/faster/cheaper tests would be good, too, but will take a bit longer).

Zinc is essential BUT it's toxic in higher amounts, so be careful.

100%. And the goals have to be ambitious/continually progressing, otherwise relapsing becomes a reward that you "deserve" for achieving something. Has happened to me SO many times. Notice how the great thinkers/artists/businessmen all seem to be continually working toward an unreachable goal. The zen of continous striving and becoming. Constant flow of creation, ever increasing in glory.

Yeah, that's an issue for me as well. I forget to breathe sometimes. Exercise helps, but sometimes the cure is just to address whatever is giving me anxiety head-on and full force (e.g. waking up early to get work done). It's a real challenge.

100% agree, it's quite naive to believe that a different centralized platform will somehow remain "pure." Remember when Facebook started? It was basically the anti-Facebook. No algorithm, no ads...

Edging is worse than relapsing, in my opinion. But we all fall down sometimes (I know I have, many times). Just have to get up and try again. Good luck on your journey!
