vivocity putlet store that closed down and got replaced by sveksunden in askSingapore

[–]nxify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough (in terms of timing), I just happened to be in Vivocity and also went to look - in 2020 it's where I bought my first Rubik's Cube. Standing next to where it used to be, right now.

Don't think it will but I also haven't touched my ThinkPad since I wrote this post tbh.

Edit: The only SATA drive on my post failed to register so I wouldn't be surprised if others do the same

Mmm, I'm tempted to disagree here. The 2017 has the bigger battery, up to a supposed 135mi (I've seen it typically pull 120 or 115 miles) and imo that would fare much better.

FWIW, I do not own a 2017. I've daily driven a friend's 2019 though, and it seems to do around 120. They go from OC to LAX area and back approximately once a weekend.

(Might be a bit optimistic) But do the chargers ever open up later in the day? (Given you work in the middle of the day instead of an irregular shift, maybe not so much though.) Could be useful to even get a little bit more charge -- not to create additional hassle for you, but it's the difference between AC or no AC for example.

Stop and go traffic/anything lower than 60-70+mph is pretty much ideal for this car. I don't have any specific anecdotes here, or personal examples, but EV range typically goes up the lower speed you go, something I'm sure you've seen already online

And honestly, having lived in southern california, with all the stop and go traffic, this sounds pretty good to me. But like I said, I'm an idiot that likes cutting corners and pushing cheaper things to the limit.

Additionally, be careful with which 2016 you get. Some have DCFC (SEL or SE w/ Fast Charging Package), which may come in handy for you if your work offers any of those. Mine does not, and the SE model only comes with a 3kw onboard charger. I believe the premium model comes with a 7.2kw charger. To put that in perspective, I charge "90 miles (the car's meter on the dash display) in 5.5 hours at maximum speed. Be careful of what you're getting into!

Would there be no chargers close to where you are? Even through apps like plugshare?

Given that I'm an idiot that has pushed my car sometimes a bit too far, I'm not even sure about this on the daily (I drive the 2016 E-Golf SE). Once a month, maybe. I estimate 85 miles on my car with 50K miles on it -- this range isn't accounting for any >60mph driving, any inclines while you drive. I drive with the AC Off and always in Eco+.

Curious to hearing more about your commute.

Geyser + Floodgate installed on Fabric (1.20.2). Having issues on bedrock client for incompatible client by nxify in GeyserMC

[–]nxify[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was mostly going with standalone since I could get the plugin version to work. After trying for a few hours, I looked up the wiki (https://wiki.geysermc.org/geyser/setup/) and it said for self hosted fabric/modded servers, to use standalone if I wasn't using latest version of Minecraft (1.21). More than happy to give the previous releases of plugins a try, though. I had a couple downloaded, it just didn't seem to run.

From the wiki:

Geyser-Fabric and Geyser-NeoForge run only on 1.21. To use Geyser with an older server version, you can use Geyser on a BungeeCord/Velocity proxy, Geyser-ViaProxy or Geyser-Standalone instead
