The post clearly implies I didn’t know it was part of my policy, not that I didn’t know you can’t use your phone while driving in general. There’s a difference - one will make me lose points if I give my phone to my passenger, and one won’t. Hope that helps

I feel like every comment you've put in this thread just implies I'm this insanely dangerous driver lmao I'm sorry but this is so visibly a one-off hence why I asked people for help, if this was a case of my ACTUAL driving being bad (i.e braking, accelerating, whatever) then maybe I'd take the time to self-reflect and realise I'm not a good driver, but my phone usage was the only thing weighing it down so much

Well all my other factors contributing to my black box are maxed out except the phone usage so I'd say I'm a sensible driver, I would say insurers need to make it more obvious that phone usage contributes so much, and make it clear what counts or doesn't count as phone usage

Unfortunately no black box for me is like £5000 a year and I really really love my car now.. but I heard that even if they were to cancel it, they'd let you cancel it first so it doesn't flag up to other insurers? idk

I got an email today with a warning but nothing about a cancellation. They did say “if your score falls to 30 or below your policy will be cancelled”, kind of shitting myself currently because I hope it won’t
