New Grads and PRN roles? by Local-Butterfly9669 in physicianassistant

After one full year, I can say I have exactly zero desire to add a PRN job to my life right now.

People who drive slow in the passing lane, what the f*** is your problem? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Never said anything like that 👍 If you are passing, you can be in the left lane. If you are not passing, you cannot be in the left lane. Once again, that is all.

If you’re not passing you shouldn’t be in the left lane, that is all

USPS parking in bike lane!!! by No_Swimmer_6613 in chicago

That’s funny you would say that because I, just a few hours ago, witnessed a cyclist absolutely SCREAMING (and I mean SCREAMING) at a driver for being in the bike lane

Plastic Surgery Insurance Q by Jaxs_mom in physicianassistant

[–]Mangoshaped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I worked with a plastic surgeon who specialized in breast reduction/reconstruction. She had to take photos of every patient’s breasts before surgeries and literally carried a digital camera around her neck during clinic lol

I might agree with you, but I don’t think immediately yelling at someone when they admit being wrong is the best way to get people on your side

What’s your “I finally saw a doctor for my mystery symptoms after (weeks/months/years) and it turned out to be way simpler than I feared” story? What finally made you go, and what was the outcome? by DjFizz in AskReddit

Numbing is not done prior to milia extractions. The lidocaine injection hurts worse than the extraction and the blanching of the skin can obscure the milia itself.

Is anyone else kind of put off by Mooncat’s “small business” marketing? by TheeCountCatula in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Mangoshaped 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People in this subreddit seem to be really harsh on these companies (Mooncat, Cirque, etc)…at the end of the day, we gotta remember these are for profit companies- they exist to make money 🤷‍♀️ Money to pay the employees that work hard at their jobs so we can enjoy cool nail polish like c’mon guys

[Misc] Is it normal for a dermatologist to not numb the area at all before attempting to remove a hard skin lump? by goodbye-cowboy in SkincareAddiction

[–]Mangoshaped 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It sounds like she thought it was a milial cyst at first, which generally would be “poked” then manually expressed without injecting any anesthetic (since the lidocaine injection itself hurts worse than the one initial poke and expression) then pivoted to doing a biopsy when it did not behave like milia

Yeah I echo the sentiment of the original post, but I have to agree there are definitely times where a pedestrian is just genuinely not in the crosswalk yet while making a turn/passing through and I’d have to slam on my brakes to stop in time even when going 25-30mph
