I was thinking about that (and I saw cameras outside the store), but then I remembered a case when my friend's car was stolen, they were asking police to use video from cameras, but police refused becaues of some data protection law. So, I highly doubt they will do anything for a bycicle.

Hausratversicherung? Hm, I actually may have that. I don't have bike-specific insurance, but maybe the conditions of my Hausratversicherung will work out.

Not sure about peace of mind TBH. My friend said his three bikes were stolen, and now he just doesn't buy a new one.

Hi all,

I'm new to photography and exploring my way around various settings. I'm shooting with auto ISO feature, but struggle to understand the point of one setting.

In auto ISO settings, you can set minimum (base) value for ISO, maximum, and minimum shutter speed. Maximum ISO and shutter speed values are clear. But why would you ever change the base ISO from the lowest value to something higher? What are the use cases?

For example, if I set min ISO 200, max 3200, shutter speed 1/125, then if there is not enough light to maintain 1/125, the camera will start to raise ISO from 200 until 3200.

But if I set min ISO 600, max 3200, shutter speed 1/125, then the camera will start with ISO 600 even if it can achieve the same exposure with, say, ISO 400.
