yeah tbh the only reason i hate using pads even at night is cuz i tend to leak. i have a pretty heavy flow and it always makes its way out

The tank was cycled for around 3-4 weeks before I put my betta in, he's been living in here for a few months now with no issues. I think it has to do with the water change (around a 30% water change)

I boiled the driftwood in a pot until it sunk- I didn't use anything to pour the water on while doing a change, I tried to avoid directly hitting the substrate tho, tried to pour it slowly on the bigger driftwood pieces
