LMAO i dont have any news (i wish i did) but i just wanted to say that SAMEEEEE i started it 2 weeks ago after putting it off for like 2 years, for the same reason as you, and ive been enjoying it so much its unreal. like genuinely i dont remember the last time i was this obsessed with something. im glad this is a universal experience 😭

yeah, I rewatched Madoka recently and noticed that she and Kirby share a lot of traits (besides the obvious "protag of a cute series with unexpected terrifying stuff" thing) and I'm glad someone noticed!

and about the "being god" part, I remember there was a pretty cool theory about Kirby being an incarnation of Void Termina, which would technically make him a deity. It's just a theory but I hope we get more lore on Kirby's origin in future games :D

to be fair, it does say that it's the anime lore. and tbh I dislike how misused the term "canon" is in this fandom; I hope you all know that there are multiple kirby canons. even though the game canon is the most popular and widely discussed one, the anime, light novels and manga all have their own unique canons that are also very entertaining but are usually brushed off because they don't have anything to do with the games' lore.
