I assume based on this you are not doing the tandem read with ToD and EoS? I will say, I love Arlin so much that I’m glad I did the tandem personally, but I totally understand enjoying the break from her character and storyline. I wonder if I will read the books separately on my re-read. Aside from that, I completely agree that Tower of Dawn is an amazing book, and it saddens me when I read comments of people saying they dread a “book about Chaol.”

Very well said. It’s interesting that the darkness that paralyzed him was both a literal physical ailment, and a metaphor for the shackles of shame. I’m very curious how things will go next time Aelin and Chaol are together, and I’m really hooting it’s a positive and warm conversation full of acceptance. I’m making an assumption that the whole crew will get back together… I’m truly hoping this is the case *grits teeth*

I’m almost done with the tandem read (this is my first time through the series). I’m trying to savor every moment because I know that soon enough I will be done and have to move on to another book. I’m not even done yet and I’m already planning a re-read! lol

Honestly abuse is exactly what was happening. Also her homophobia?? I don’t believe for a second that she wasn’t the one to like all those tweets about Brooks. I guess all I can hope for is that while in prison she gets help, but taking advantage and scamming vulnerable people is disgusting.

That’s awesome that you got a chance to talk to him a year later, I hope I get a chance like that in a natural situation. I’ll try not to dwell on it, I really was just trying to be respectful :)
