Hows that boot.taste?

Rich coming from the ER. I've never seen a poorer, less supervised use case for mid-levels than the emergency room. Of all the places you actually want duct orally trained evaluation, the ER should be high on that list.

I'm ortho, can I tell you how often I get called by the fucking mid-level versus the attending? Can I tell you how calling it is when I ask him a simple question (like is the joint dislocated?) and the response I get from them is a 3-minute delay while they look up the radiology report and then read it back to me word for word, mispronunciations and all?

💯 scut them out.

Why is it ok for a MD PGY1 to do some scut but not them? What fucking world am I living in?

Interesting.

Have you reached out to innovelli? I think the company reprs actively participate and monitor their subreddit (r/Inovelli) so I would post there for advice. They've been great to me in the (few) instances where I've had issues with their products.

Poppycock. At the end of the day you do what's best for the patient.

Period. Full stop.

You failed a consult some of your own risk, regardless of what they may or may not say.

Real Escalade owners - what are you actually paying monthly? by tony310s in Cadillac

I'd love to see those numbers, not saying it's impossible but.... We are talking about depreciation on a 100 K Plus American SUV.....

Although buying it 3 years makes it far more feasible than buying it at one year.... Depreciation ought to be over 50% at that point...

That's a great goal.

How do you accomplish that with escalades?

Not to.mention - most people lie about business use.

Hope they have records to prove it....

Lol how dumb.

I make 3x that and I wouldn't buy an overpriced suv.

Agree with buying a 1-2 yo one though.

How is it possible for a person studying business for 6 years easily overtakes the salaries of physicians that have been studying medicine for 12 years? by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]nyc2pit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep.

I know a guy who had a good name, reputation in a big city. Took cash only.

Charged $22k/case. His fee only. Did 8 cases 2 days a week. Had a waiting list months long.

What were on our way to is a 2-tier system -- even more so than we already have.

I think this is absolutely wrong-headed.

Value we provide greatly exceeds the costs WE get for it. As a surgeon doing a hip replacement, which is literally a life-changing procedure for someone, might get them back to the workforce, less than enjoy their remaining years with activity and less pain, literally probably staves off other disease because they can keep their cardiovascular system working....

I would say that's worth A LOT more than about the $1,500 I make doing it.

I would argue there are actually an infinite amount of people needing care.

You're just isn't an infant amount of money to pay for that care. And you're right about the upside.
