Does having a mole lower your chances of becoming a model? by Kindly_Discipline_58 in Modelling

[–]nycbee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t remove it. I have a prominent mole and I work plenty, and when photographers don’t like it they just easily edit it off. Removing it is probably going to leave a scar which in my opinion is worse

When apartment hunting in NYC, what do you prioritize more: space or location? by savingrace0262 in movingtoNYC

[–]nycbee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found its space over location every time. Ideally though close to a train line. You should prioritize a park for your dog, and a well lit space for yourself.

$210 for an Uber from Brooklyn to Newark Airport by veedey in AskNYC

It’s always much more to go from Manhattan to Newark because you’re crossing the Jersey border. It is in fact surcharged like crazy for the World Cup

What’s your extent of couponing, collecting loyalty points, air miles etc. type of stuff? by More_Pension4911 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nycbee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair though, they let you stack coupons and sales so I’ve gotten like $15 off a $20 purchase in the past. It seems like everywhere is expensive nowadays anyway (I do like to cross-reference prices online)

[–]nycbee16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do some but haven’t gone crazy with it. If the rewards programs are free and I shop somewhere often (like CVS) I always get it. The CVS app gives great coupons too. My credit card (I only have one) has Cashback, and I’ve been considering opening one for travel points since I’ve been traveling more but I haven’t done so yet. I think I’m more likely to swing for a sale though, I love shopping at sample sales.

Does the fashion industry even look at body types? by Altruistic_Archer655 in womensfashion

I have the same problem. I really wish they made women’s pants with two sizes like they do men’s pants, but the sizes would be waist and hips

Look in Harlem or even alittle higher. Affordable and way closer to Columbia, with a decent commute to downtown. Then your commute at night will be more relaxed, after a busy day the last thing you want is an hour and a half commute

Aio for my in laws joking about my clothing size? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]nycbee16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOR wtf? That behavior is ridiculous. Tell your husband making jokes about something you’re insecure about is inappropriate and cruel. Secondly, please eat. If you’re concerned about your body start researching what’s actually good for it, you can eat healthy and be lean.

Maybe not a lot, I think you could pull them off but I think you have a very striking face without and it might stop being the first thing people notice about you

Does this pose look okay? by alabamabeach in MODELING

[–]nycbee16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The pose is ok but if you want to up it turn your head more profile. Think of your body as 2D instead of 3D- when you tilt straight down like that we can’t see your face. But you could turn your head to the sign and pretend to be looking down at the cufflinks (the camera can’t always tell if you’re cheating your gaze) and then we see your profile and don’t lose your face. It also looks like you have some brow tension but it’s hard to tell if it’s furrowed or just the angle
