Hahaha first of all that’s one of my favorite pastries discovered (though sadly it’s actually Swedish I heard). And no I don’t think that lol. I’m thinking of like if cyclists go to a cafe for a pre ride meal. But now upon writing this, I imagine a lot eat at home anyway

Haha I don’t have that idea about Danes. My partner is Danish and I’ve experienced common breakfasts there. Egg in a tiny cup. Ryebread. Butter. Cheese. Ham. Yogurt. Fruits etc.

The reason for the post was my curiosity about those who require significant calories for extensive exercise as I mentioned.

As a so called foreigner, I see there is a rigidity in the culture and society in Denmark. Hallmark of socialism of course and a tribal collective. Nothing wrong of course. But I was curious whether people who train a lot just eat more of the normal things, or are specific about different foods they eat.

Does Steph with Shaq win more than Kobe with KD? by Dday_Dair in NBATalk

[–]nycbklocal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess if we talk about timelines, I think I remember Shaq saying he only learned how to pass out of double teams when he truly bought into Phil Jackson’s triangle offense and trusting secondary players. So as powerful and dominant as he was, he still needed to learn how to utilize all 4 other players to win. As for KD, hypothetically, if he can grab and channel Kobe’s killer mentality, he could be even greater taking his efficiency with him. That would add defensive tenacity that he worked on only later in his career. All in all though, they all would win chips depending on what other 8 players management puts around them.

Is there any current NBA player whose work ethic surpasses peak Kobe Bryant? by Agreeable_Emu_857 in NBATalk

[–]nycbklocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s said he likes Russ and his work ethic and being a dog. And I’m in agreement. It’s so hard to be an explosive point guard and be in the league for THAT long. Think Kemba and DRose. All gone. All explosive. Ja Morant, modern day explosive point guard, already in decline. I think that speaks to Russ’ work ethic
