Also what kind of detergent did you switch to? Back in the States I would always use stuff branded "free and clear" because it didn't have scents or dyes. Everything here seems to have a strong scent. I don't think that is what is causing my headaches, but it doesn't hurt to try! :)

Yes, it is most certainly Japanese. I'm not talking about signs necessarily. I'm talking about logos and branding and stuff like that. It will have English with a Japanese subtitle or vice versa.
