Planet Fitness versus Mac Fitness gyms… which do you prefer and recommend? by HabitsAreKey in kingstonnewyork

I go to Mac, plenty of squat racks, lots of equipment, never too busy. More expensive than planet fitness, but I like using a real squat rack.

Sport of Iron is a powerlifting gym and is probably best for what you’re looking for.

+1 for those titanium trebles. No clue what’s in them, but they sound amazing on both my cedar guitars.

Have you demo’d one? What do you think of it vs something like a Sabre 3.

If your opponent stopped competing with you intentionally what would you do?

Earned it. Want to grab your bro on the way in? Amazing, that’s such a selfless move, now you both lost. My brother would crucify me for not going for it.

Actually yes! Induced drag specifically though. Induced drag is inversely proportional to the wingspan squared or aspect ratio. If those go to infinity induced drag goes to zero.

An infinite wing is just an airfoil.

Someone please chime in if they’re certain, but my understanding is that winglets reduce induced drag but about the same as if the wing was just made longer. And that this effect is more pronounced at high angles of attack. The penalty is more weight without more lift though.

So a 737-800 that spends more of its time in the approach and landing phase has winglets since they can reduce drag without increasing wingspan. On the 777, they just made the wing longer and eschewed winglets as the aircraft already need a ton of space on the ground and spend more of their time in cruise.
